Warmly welcome, James. Warmly welcome. Its nice to have a star who actually wants to be here, and will be a solid building block for years to come.

If you watched the finals, Mike Miller, Shane Battier and Chalmers had a lot to do with that.

Love how we get a player of Harden's caliber, all people can talk about is how he is overpaid. Is $80mill coming out of your pocket? If the owner is willing to pay that much, then it's all good. Stop complaining about his contract.

Of course every statistic would say that. When they weren't on the floor, neither was the other teams starters. That means those stats came against 2nd stringers. Those same stats said the same thing about Ariza when you all were saying he would be a "Star".

I don't think he'll live up to that contract, but the rockets didn't have much choice. I hope he stays healthy and plays well.

Seriously? Do people even CHECK things before they post?

    Lebron James

    2012/13 - $17,545,000
    2013/14 - $19,067,500
    2014/15 - $20,590,000
    2015/16 - $22,112,500

    TOTAL : 4 years, $79,315,000

    James Harden : 5 years, $80M

It's quite fair for a player of his talent.

Not necessarily, Harden played enough minutes where he's playing against first-rate guys.

Also, you just compared his advanced stats to Trevor Ariza. Sorry, that's just ridiculous.

I think some of you just enjoy whining about whatever happens. It's really sad.

Trevor Ariza has never had a good TS%, and never drew fouls at a high rate, the 2 main things that indicate how well a player will do with increased minutes or an increased role.

Do u remember the hawks before johnson got there? I do. Johnson didn't play play with durant and westbrook in atl. Nor did he come off the bench. If he plays as well as johnson did in atl, that's cool and the rockets can win games. I'm not expecting him to be better than that.

By the way, the negativity about this trade still astounds me. I just don't get how you can be an intelligent basketball fan and not love what James Harden does on the court.

For those of you against the contract, which players in your opinion should the Rockets have spent the money on?

It also seems like the doubters tend to be the dumber part of the population. Not trying to draw a trend, but if you are going to try to argue that Trevor Ariza had as likely a chance at stardom as James Harden does, at least do some research first.

This is wrong. No team in the NBA subs 5 guys out and 5 guys in.

Not only that, but Harden...like Manu...finished games and played against the others teams best players.
