MLS is the 7th most attended soccer league in the world.http://sports.yahoo.com/news/mls-sets-average-attendance-mark-180400705--mls.html
SCHLAAAAAND. Seriously, we are crazy for football and it shows in the attendance. Way ahead of every other nation. Especially Italians should be ashamed of themselves.
Look at my ranking list again, I have the K and J Leagues listed. No other Asian league is better than MLS, if you believe that it's just silly.
I don't think that's what we're talking about here. If you had a chance to go to any league's game... where would you go? Certainly not USA or MEX leagues' games... We're talking about the MLS being "good", not "having more people in the stands."
LOL, do you also think Carmelo Anthony is better than Lebron James? <object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/I4U1dRmM3dE?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/I4U1dRmM3dE?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object> Falcao is a very good striker. Neymar is a once in a life time talent. They are not even at the same level.
funny you post youtube video with your username. trust me neymar had the most hype the last 2 years. neymar will be great but not there yet. look at what falcao did/is doing in europe, spain, and wcq'ing. falcao could win the ballon d'or, although nominated (more hype) neymar doesn't have a chance.
Falcao is more valuable to his team right now, no question. This guy showed it against the best teams.
Is Falcao an once in a lifetime talent? 99% of soccer fans would say no. Neymar is definitely one. End of discussion.
Neymar can become a special player, talk again in three or four years. Right now every team that wants instant success would choose Falcao over him.
the top 5 teams in Brazilian league are better than the top 5 teams in the Mexican league. But the teams in the 10-15 range I think are better than the 10-15 teams in brazilian league. in overall I say Brazil are slightly better than Mexico. and Falcao so much better than Neymar. Neymar had some flashes, but he doesnt have consistency.
Regarding MLS, it's really simple. Instead of paying your top guys 350,000 and the rest of the Joe's 50-90,000, paying these guys 3,500,000 will help the quality of the league. I think it's top 25. I think MLS can run with the J League and A League. They're about the same age.
the MLS is growing a lot, the MLS is definitely inside the top 20, I would even consider them between 14th-15th place.
No it is not. Messi is closer today to reaching Maradona than Neymar currently is to reaching Pele. Having said all that i think Neymar is underrated by folks due to the fact that he plays in Brasil and he has a slight build/frame. 2014 will be his opportunity to quiet all the naysayers.
I saw Neymar during the olympics, and he had some good plays, but in the game for the gold medal he sucked.
By winning the World Cup? I'm worried because Brasil doesn't have a real cohesive unit. Look at Colombia and Ecuador, underrated teams that are near the top of the WC qualifiers for South America. Brasil has a pass to the WC but they're going to needs a lot of time to gel and 6 months before July of 2014 isn't going to cut it. Neymar is not ready to carry Brasil.
One game does not define a player Current coach for the national team needs to be fired ASAP. Messi has received plenty of criticism for his play on his country's side. Neymar has plenty of success on his club to warrant considering the fact (much like messi) that the national side is the problem. Just saying
