If a rockets game happens in a forest and no one hears or sees it.. did it really happen?

Public money went to the stadium.

Not really sure how the City getting involved will really help. Comcast and the other networks just need to come to a deal.

Ok, well, if this doesn't get fixed today, I am not wasting my time watching some crappy internet stream. That is worse than not seeing it at all - low=-res, choppy, you can't really see the game, it is juts nothing but ever-increasing frustration, and I have had quite enough of that already, thank you.

So, the next question then is this: Since it has been made clear that the game is *BLACKED OUT FOR EVERYONE NO MATTER WHAT* if they do not have the stupid CSN channel, then what about the re-broadcasts? Will they be showing the re-broadcasts, like they did last year? I may be wrong, but I do not think blackout rules affect re-broadcasts or tape-delayed showings of the games.

So, while I know that the first couple of weeks of League Pass will still be blacked out for us here in Houston, will they be re-showing the games at midnight or something like that, as was done last year? I am fine with watching the game later on the DVR, as long as I can see the games in HD.

And, if that is NOT happening, then the next logical question is, does anyone have a line on how to get either an actual HD stream (unlikely I know) or, if worst case scenario plays out, any ideas where we can download torrents of actual HD games soon after they are completed?

    Oh, and F comcast.

Agree with your last comment. This is a stretch, but it may be a solution for some. My next door neighbor has Comcast (which she hates) and is allowing me to use her xfinity signal to send the game to my notebook computer. I hope this stopgap works until Dish gets the Rockets games.

I see no mention of Time Warner to speak of. Is it just a given that Time Warner isn't going to play nice with Comcast? Should I give up hope?

I was on the verge of leaving TWC but they've made some really good changes to the guide and on demand and such, so I'd hate to leave now. Also, I'm in Beaumont area so no Comcast or Uverse for us anyway.

Yes they will be blacked out. If you have DirecTV though, you will be able to see the game on Channel 663 (if you have the sports package). That channel is Fox Sports Detroit. It will be the Detroit commentators but who cares.

If you do have DirecTV and do not have the sports package, call them and complain about not seeing the Rockets Games and they will give you a 6 month trial for free. That was one of many perks I have received so far complaining to them every week.

Yes for the 50th time in this thread.

**** the Rox, I am a newly crowned Thunder fan. I cannot believe this wasn't fixed before the first ****ing game of the season. Just unbelievable. I've also been offered suite tix to the for the first 3 home games. Turned them down. If you can't give me the games on TV I won't be spending a dime that goes into Les' pockets.

Hmmm, it doesn't sound like the issue is Comcast wanting the providers to offer the channel to their customers for free like that guy from the Chronicle tweeted yesterday...................

Won't that station be blacked out here in Houston? I believe it will, since CSN Houston has rights to this area to show the game only.

For U-verse users trying to watch tonight's game...

If you have the HD Premium Tier on U-verse (the package that NFL Redzone is on for those of you that subscribe to that), FS Detroit is part of it. Channel 1737.

exactly don't be fooled. comcast wants to get paid big time. blame leslie and crane as much too, you don't start a network and give it away for free. it's always about money and both organizations want to get paid.

It is possible, but the preseason games were shown on the other teams Fox Sports channels when they were on NBAtv or CSN. So it is a possibility it may not be blacked out.

I was able to watch the Dallas game on FSSW via DirecTV on channel 676 so I do not see why FS Detroit would be blacked out..

If it is anything like DISH though it will be blacked out. NBA blackout rules prohibit this. Same as Davidio's comment above.

LOL, guys, there is no secret way to watch tonight's game unless you have Comcast.

    EVERYTHING ELSE IS BLACKED OUT.
