I think the Rox should start Terrence Jones anyway. I feel he's going to be a better player than Patterson.

He can block shots in which Pat can't!!
    He rebounds like no other
He can drive which Pat can't!!
He can shoot from deep outside which Pat can't!
    And he play defense.

I think he's a starter material. Him and Asik will form a better combo than Asik and Pat

I would rather see Jones starting and D-Mo coming off the bench or vice versa with them getting approximately equal minutes... and Patterson traded or cut.

PPat better watch out-- TJones has all the skills to steal the starting spot away from him.

Yeah, just a little amped for the game. I know Asik's play is a small sample size, but I've watched Monroe struggle against bigger C's like Pek, Hibbert, Bynum. He doesn't have enough weight to play the 5. He's a borderline All-Star at the 4 maybe.

Can't wait to see Harden play but this season I'm just hoping Lin isn't a complete bust. Some of you guys on this forum severely overrate him based off a short sample size of a performance. I really hope he is that player we saw during Linsanity but his constant struggles on defense, his turnovers, and inconsistent shooting have really worried me. Here's hoping Lin will actually be that player we saw last year.

Lin was one of the best defensive players for the Rockets this preseason and he was racking up steals at a league leading pace...his defense is always underrated, him being a poor defender is a myth. The Knicks defensive rating was better with Lin on the floor than off.

I think much of it stems from people just looking at box scores and seeing the opposing PG scored a lot and assuming it's due to Lin playing poor D, when it usually had to do with piss poor help defense or covering his roll man on the pick, namely from Amare.

I will say at times Lin was a bit weak getting over screens but he has shown improvement in that area.

As for his turnovers, aside from that one 6TO game he's been fine with the turnovers so far.

Shooting has been iffy in preseason but he had a great shooting game last time out and seems to be getting his rhythm as he gets back into game shape.

I think realistically he'll produce somewhere in the middle ground between Linsanity and post-Linsanity.

Oh it's not just some of us overrating him. Have you seen Hollingers's projections? Instead of being the number one most accurate forecaster at ESPN last year (out of 30) and having beaten Vegas two years running, you'd think he was a Lin homer!

Lin is unlikely to produce linsanity numbers. It's a different system.

He's just one of the most watched players so his mistakes tends to be more glaring and talked about.

    He'll be ok.

I think He'll start little slowly because he has had only 2 training sessions with the team so there will be an adjustment period.
