    Myth: Canadians are dumb ;)

you may want to check out Hyatt, I know a few out of towners that came in to watch the Rockets, I think GRENDAL is one of them, does a price bid of like $50 on Priceline and gets them every time he stays in Houston. Is a bit further, like 8 blocks from Toyota Center, but is a 4 star hotel. Holiday Inn is so much closer tho, you can throw a baseball from the hotel to the Toyota Center.

Embassy suites it's closer to the Toyota center, actually it's right in front of it and I thinks it's only 1 or 2 years old so everything is basically new.

    Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why oh why does the American Thanksgiving have to fall on Nov 22 this year!!!

Found out that my travel plan coincides with Thanksgiving. Apparently air traffic is going to be chaotic. My brother said people are stranded at airports every year. Not to mention that air-tickets are soooo expensive.

I think I'll just cancel the trip and sell my tickets. Hopefully I can plan for something in the spring.

I'm sooooo disappointed. *Sigh* It was exciting when it lasted...

FYI, Canadian Thanksgiving is in October.

As long as your aren't flying on the day before Thanksgiving or the Sunday after travel is not all that bad. Even on the busy days its most likely not going to result in getting stranded at the airport.

A bonus if you decide to go through with the trip is Black Friday. It's some people's favorite part of the holiday weekend. I'm not a huge fan, but other people love the deals and experience.

So I took stl1622dc's advice and decided to stick with my original plans and come watch the Nov 21 (Bulls) and Nov 23 (Knicks) games in Houston. I took Dave2000's advice and bid a hotel through Priceline, all this time thinking I'll get Hyatt Regency. Turned out they gave me Hotel Icon. lol...seems a little far from Toyota Center. Any comments/advice about the hotel will be appreciated. Now, I don't want to here that it's haunted :(

    Thanks in advance.

Hotel Icon is in downtown Houston. Probably equal distance.

it's five blocks down one direction, 10 blocks down another direction.

I'd catch a taxi. There's probably homeless people around. Or you can take the light rail for a few blocks and walk five blocks over. Not sure how light rail works.

You will like Section 119 and you should take full advantage of it. The reason I suggested that is because you can move down to the first 3 rows. Don't be shy.

    DON"T BE SHY

You can move down to empty seats. Yes, they are paid for, but no one cares and even if the owner shows up, it's cool. They won't kick you out, since you have 119 seats. If anyone tries to move you from 3rd row squating, just talk honest to them and say you are from Canada and this is your first Rockets game and you were told by heypartner to squat in the 3rd row.

Don't trade your Section 119 tickets to Kam, no matter what he says.
Or else the next day on CF.net he will post a lot of photos of players from 3rd row behind to bench....and you will be saying...dammit.

Awesome advice! Maybe I'll wear a red t-shirt with Canadian flag! I'll definitely try moving down, maybe a few minutes into 1Q. I'll bring a screen shot of your post with me :)
