No, I think he was implying that we run a very simplistic system, and that does not bode well for the start of the season since most teams will be able to break us down very easily.
Its probably by design due to the youth of the team. Remembers its not how much X's and O's a coach knows, but how much of those can the team learn and implement.
Harden better be better than those guys though. A lot like Rudy Gay, who was almost on the Olympic squad, they are guys I'd like to have, but as my 3rd best player at best. Anyways, it started with me replying to this: I take that as expecting a true star player, just because he was on team USA. James Harden has a lot to prove. We are talking about a guy through 3 seasons is averaging 12.7/3.4/2.5. Just like Team USA, we are betting more on what he can become. I'm excited to watch.
According to RealGM abd Bill Simmons, Harden was willing to take less but wanted a 15% trade kicker in the event OKC shipped him off. http://basketball.realgm.com/wireta..._Trade_Kicker_In_Extension_Talks_With_Thunder
It's True...we need a new uniform...Yao Ming isn't here anymore. Old school rockets ketchup and mustard..yep!
Everyone I keep saying on TV says something like "James Harden only got numbers against backups." Or what Barkley just said (paraphrasing) "Harden was used as instant offense. He was given the ball everytime up the court to get offense going. Have to see how he does as a start against other starters playing a real offense."
Any news on an extension? I hope it's just a thing where Harden is deciding with his agent on a 4yr or 5yr extension, I personally am leaning towards 5 yr extension, gives us Harden for 6 total seasons.
Harden: "Mr. Morey, I want a trade kicker and a player option for the 5th year. I know you, and I am not going to spend my career playing for Charlotte. You know I have you by the balls." Morey: "Don't go there, son. The last time somebody had me by the balls, he ended up owing Arron Afflalo $30 mil. That's right. Arron modderfogging Afflalo."
Well I agree with this. He still has a lot more to prove, as evidenced that a lot of people don't think he's worth the money. That he only scores on reserves (not true, he finished games for them) or that he's nothing but a third option. It'll be fun to watch, personally I think he'll do well and surprise people. The only thing I ever worried about with Harden was his mentality.
