I can see that happening. Great post. I'm looking forward to Asik playing, but in Clutch situations you need to give the ball to the person who can hit game winners, that could be Harden or Lin. I'll go with Harden.

Don't have an issue with the thread, it's the coded language that's a problem.

Might as well start talking about fried chicken and watermelon, or fried beans and pinata's.

This is a Basketball forum. If someone has something to argue about a player, then use Logic, dollars and STATISTICS to back it up.

There's tons of things to use to debate a player's worth or skills, pro's and cons without getting into personal attacks on other posters, their ethnicity, or the length of their fandom. In theory, we're all supposed to be rooting for the SAME outcome here... ie, a GOOD team.

Similarly, trying to discount a poster's opinion by applying a blanket LOF or HOF fan is basically an attempt to marginalize the opinion of the poster. It's a cheap personal attack on their credibility, that has nothing to do with their core arguments or logic.

In debating it's purely an attempt to distract from the weakness of one's own argument. That sort of argument should always be discouraged as it lowers the quality of the discourse.

Clearly a bait thread. It's on the lof for taking the bait.

'stinky tofu,' 'gangnam style' etc. lol.

Sure whatever. But in my opinion I would prefer that this team isn't constantly relying on hail mary's in clutch situations. Frankly I could care less who takes the game winner whether it is Harden or Lin both have shown the ability to step up in the clutch. With that being said, being able to hit clutch shots doesn't make you the best player on a team. LeBron is widely known as being unclutch but he is the best player on the Heat. Kobe is clutch but Howard is the best player on the Lakers. Melo is clutch but he isn't the best player on the Knicks. I could go on & on. Being clutch doesn't equal being the best player.

I support Jeremy Lin. This is different from I think anything criticizing Jeremy Lin from clutchfans is hatred toward him.

I did eat tofu the other day, was it stinky tofu? no but it was the crispy ones you can get at coco's cafe and dip into the sweet sauce.

Asians supported Yao Ming too. And the Yao Fans were quick to defend Yao for no reason at all too.

However if I started a Tracy McGrady was the best player on the Rockets thread back then, I would at least get a basketball reason reply on why Yao was better.

Some news fans, SOME not ALL, aren't here on the GARM for the basketball part.

Ignoring them is a better strategy than making race baiting threads. IMO.

    BigEZ,

he is one piece of the puzzle, but there's another piece we might get and that would change things, but for now. yes he's the best.

if you take away the riff raff, the poll results are actually pretty good.
it shows that clutchfans believe this is the stepping stone to another great player.

Agreed. Rough indeed. Doesn't change the fact that this is clearly a bait thread.

look it's clear that Clutch bear is by far the best player on the Rockets!

Who else can shoot basketballs and t shirts up into the nose bleed section with such accuracy?

please stop these nasty comments...go back to your caves.....

I don't eat tofu...but then again I'm not down on Mud Bugs either...

The best player of the Rocket now.

It is Carlos Delfino. Not Morey's James. James is the up and coming person that makes the most money by this Thursday in the Rockets. So he is not a leader or anything at this moment besides Houston Rocket fans' hype on a OKC Thunder former player.

Olympics gold medals, NBA playoff experiences, scoring,........

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlos_Delfino

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Harden

(He only started 7 games in his entire 3 years NBA careers)

James is even more unproven than JLin in his NBA starting game counts. He is unproven to the max to receive a Rockets's max contract. So please stop hype about him until he is proven. The same way JLin's critics said about Lin's records.

He has to prove he deserves this coming contract even Morey or any fan are willing to hype about him. :)
