For Tinman ... if you have certain issues with a certain poster, whether he supports Lin or any one else (or agenda), just call them by their own user name. I know I call you by your username for your pathetic posts, but I don't call out supposed 'happy Rockets fans' because I'm one myself (especially for the Harden trade!)

I have used it to defend them as a whole, but I would hope people can stop using the 'LOF' generalizations on this site. You can be a Rockets fan and like Lin, you can be a rockets fan and believe Lin can be a star player in time (even Morey said it), you can be a rockets fan and don't like Lin, you can be a rockets fan and be impartial to him, and you can be a lin fan that grows into a rockets fan slowly. Each of us came here and evolved. And the ones that don't usually drop out by themselves over time, or as their favorite player is traded.

What is ok is for fans of their favorite player to defend them. What is NOT ok, is for a random someone (Tinman) to come in and start a thread telling people what they can post, what they can't, and how they should do it, and whether it is ok for some person to be their role model or not.

 

I don't really get all this it is kind of all funny to me to be honest. Wouldn't this kind of superiority attitude be discouraging to new fans. I believe @IzzazDavid (not sure the name) had a jersey delivered to her place for her daughter from one of Lin's fans in Asia. Some of the fans maybe real annoying but when you see gestures of kindness like this from a new fan it definitely makes some of the annoyingness all worth it.

Some members here are absolutely confident they can identify leaders, but based on their behavior towards other members, it's clear they have no understanding of what leadership actually is.

 

Either Rockets fans as a whole or Personal player fans, what i know that, Rockets gonna be good, and excited to see them play, Harden high PTS, Lin high Assist+steal, Jones High Block +pts, Person PTS+ Steal, Asik the WALL get rebounds + block

they will success for sure if, there is no internal problem or greedy mode, work as a team and they will be contender for sure, no matter how old is this New Rockets, they pretty much can play

Only in clutchfans we categorised fans into YOF, TOF, LOF and now HOF.

I start following the rockets because of Hakeem and then Francis and then Yao. So does that makes me a HSYOF?
Or since I'm not from Houston, nor Texas, but half way around the globe in Malaysia, and of chinese ethnic, does that stereotype me to be a LOF?
Or since I been posting here in a website called clutchfans, maybe I'm a COF.

I'm glad we have the luxury to have so many good prospects and debate who's better.

Lin/Harden are part of the team, so any LOF/HOF automatically belong to Rockets only fan.

It's like you love your GF and compliment your GF's good looking, but she labelled you as 'good looking only BF'...:grin:

Thanks for this post. I was beginning to think that this place was the most unwelcoming place on the internet and was hoping that all of Texas wasn't the same. It's good to be reminded that, although the rude, obnoxious, divisive ones may be the loudest, they are actually few in number.

Excited for the beginning of the new season tomorrow. Go Rockets!!! All of them.

I'm glad the players we have are hard working and unselfish. The team culture can't be overstated.

 

I'm sure people would vote Lin spoke better Chinese than Harden. Why can't people understand that not all people have the same opinion. Stop grouping people.

 

So true. I am a huge Lin fan, I followed him here and now i am a rocket fan.
I found its impossible not to root for other players after you saw them fight their heart and soul to help the team win. I am very happy that Jeremy found his new home, he seems enjoy the city very much. I wish every rockets a healthy year, I will just enjoy the games regardless the outcome.

i bought my daughter a doll last time, she always fight with her friends when they playing and try to change the doll's dress, she insist the doll should only wear her favorite red dress and it's wrong to wear other.once my wife explained to her that she shouldn't angry about it, it's much better that the doll can have different looks sometime. she understood and they never fight anymore.
