I'm thinking the tea has some kind of pacifying effect on aggression, perhaps explaining how Merle is so mellowed out, and why the Governor needs it--as he's kind of pushing it already.
A bit of a stretch for the Governor and his bandits to get the drop on a group of military guys with machine guns. Is there something that Darrell and the other group has that the Governor wants? He was pushing Merle to find out more.
I'm assuming he just wants their supplies, food, etc. Also, does anyone know how he chooses who gets to stay at Woodbury?
Yeah, it was kinda funny how the Governor's forces came out of the bushes and got the drop on military soldiers. Totally ninja'd. But I think the Governor is only accepting women. Too many men. Need women. Otherwise, what's the point in killing those soldiers?
Along the point about the soldiers, it does seem odd how even though they did let their guard down they weren't able to kill at least some of the Governor's men once they started open fire? lol
Supplies and Ammo? Also, those soldiers would threaten his alpha-male status, so better to kill them off and take their weapons.
Yeah, it was poorly done. But the thing is, there rarely is a scene like that which can be done well. Perhaps in "The Rock" where the Navy Seals all have the low ground; I think that worked. It's like those soldiers were just dumped into the world and had no idea how to assess a threat or survive.
This. He'd risk having several men with military training turn on them. That last head they showed on the wall, was it someone we should know? I didn't get a good look at it...
The last head that they showed was the helicopter dude that the found. He was the same guy that was laying in their hospital bed while the doctor was taking care him so that the governor can find out where the rest of the soldiers were at.
Think we are supposed to assume that the Army guys had seen a lot of action since their base got overrun, that and they picked the most wide open space they could find to set camp. Wasn’t done very well but it gets the point across.
Yeah. Made me laugh. Do you think any chance that they actually brought that helicopter down somehow?
I don't think so, pilot mentioned that it was damaged when they left the base if I remember correctly.
