conditions worsening in NYC area - I see more water pouring over the pier and into our area. Looks like I am stuck here.
My advice is for all those even close is to start hoarding...gasoline, water, candles, food, propane., propane stoves, etc. If you don't, someone else will...
I am in williamsburg. Manhattan definitely getting the worst of the storm surge which is approaching 14 feet now. But east wind probably saving us - only ankle dept water so far spilling over. High tide just passed. Now if we can survive tomorrow am's high tide we'll be ok. Wind is still piling water into NY Harbor.
Per wunderground @wunderground: An incredible photo from a security cam in a Hoboken PATH station: http://t.co/pe1hIIeS Whoa.
The last place in the world i would wanna be is in Jersey City, Hoboken, Elizabeth, or Newark if there are no lights..just saying...people are sketchy as heck...even crooks will now have to dodge the water... That pic of the PATH station is ridiculous... This is gonna cost a ton of money...
