Yes, he's definitely a guy with potential but unfortunately Leslie & Morey are in win now mode. I hope he doesn't do too well or else say bye-bye to Jones in the off-season when they are definitely looking at a big name to pair with Harden & Lin.
I hope the Rockets wait until February before making any further moves involving Terrence. Given time, he might just show that he's someone that can make a significant contribution to a championship team sooner rather than later. I'd rather have an allstar caliber player at 20 rather than one at 27.
We do this every year with our rookies...Patterson....Morris...now TJones, White and D-Mo. But that's what being a fan is about right? I think TJones has a real shot at becoming close to a star, if not better. He's already got a head start with the muscle (unlike D-Mo). I really hope we hang on to him and give him a chance to develop. Same with D-Mo, but he will never be the banger that I hope TJones will. At this time, I don't know what to make of Royce. I guess we'll have to see, but this whole RV thing seems like it could mess with his chemistry with his teammates. It would be nice to have an enforcer on the team. Especially when we play against Utah and Dallas.
Pretty much. Think Royce going to Dleague though, he has the most to benefit there...Rox need to learn how they are even going to use him.... Mchale going to have to spilt up time for D-mo and Jones at backup 4 IMO. D-Mo did not get a fair shot imo because they played him more at center in the preseason and that's not his position.
Before the Harden trade if the NBA had a farm system like in Baseball and just including the 1st and 2nd yr players this is how the Houston Rockets farm system might be rated... 1. Chandler Parsons 2. Terrence Jones 3. Donatas Montiejunas 4. Jeremy Lamb 5. Marcus Morris 6. Royce White 7. Greg Smith 8. Scott Machado I think the 1st 4 have legit Value and have a shot at becomng stars but the rest are just rotation playrs at best with maybe the excepion of Royce White if he woks on his shooting touch and that's a big maybe... Now take Lamb and Parsons out the two that might not be traded unless it was for a superstar and you have Jones,Dmo,and 1st rd pick to maybe package with a filler for another star player... I lke Jones but if Morey traded Lamb I wuldn't be shock i he traded Jones or another star player...

jones had been nba ready since he came out of high school. Ive followed him through his career in UK. he will be allstar, assuming he doesnt slack and settle with the money.

i disagree. lamb might have lots of potential, but he isnt showing that he is nba ready right now.(meaning risky asset) jones is ready, whether he will become a star or not, he can at least a decent role player, right now.
Are you kidding me? Our future starting lineup can and will consist of all PFs: 1 White 2 Morris 3 Jones 4 Motiejunas 5 Patterson
T Jones could develop into something special I'd prefer to promote from within, rather than hire from outside. I maybe alone in this, but I think we have our core. I know we have cap room, but we shouldn't just use it to get a big name just for the sake of having a big name. I think chemistry counts for a great deal. Let these young guys develop and grow together. Go to battle together for a couple years and really strengthen the chemistry and we could be looking at title contenders in a few.
seems like everyone is really down on White...didnt he do well in the summer league? Was his preseason that bad? Or has all the off the court stuff led to this sentiment? I feel like him and harden would play off each other really well
