The next two cuts are Cook and Haywood I think because they weren't there today.

 

Rockets, please keep Smith!!! He can play 4 even if we have a backup 5. Smith is so underrated. Last game, he streaked out for a steal and a breakaway, finishes well underneath, doesn't get pushed off the block, never showboats, and seems to play hard. A perfect fit for the new Rockets era.

I'm not sure why people are so high on Aldrich. All I remember about him was how bad he was on defense in the first preseason game, and how slow he was.

Hopefully I'm wrong.

 

Smith is here to stay, he's finally to the point where he can stay a few minutes on the court, make his shots, make his FTs and make some moves with the ball. He's even taking it to the basket which he wasn't doing at all last year.

Machado's passing ability can be replaced by Sean Livingston's. Lin would probably learn a lot better from Livingston as well. If the Rockets cut Machado and he decides to go to the D-League, I think the Rockets have first dibs to their D-League team.
