Lin is happy about this. Before Harden he was going to have the entire team on his back. No more now. You could tell just how people were getting on him for preseason games that he was going to bear the brunt of criticism good or bad. Now him and Harden will share that burden. The only thing is that this year the LOFs will blame Harden when the team loses and the HOFs will blame Lin when the team loses.
Lin doesn't want all the spotlight to himself. he rather share it with his team mates, we saw it in NY how he was always praising the team's effort and guys that put it all out there for the team like Jeffries and Chandler. and we saw how he catered to Amare and Melo when they came back. he looked to pass to those guys and only when it didn't worked out he took over in the 4th quarter. everybody is missed that because he's too humble. he does things like that but he doesn't say it. he's a leader who leads by example. this season, Lin is going to do everything in his powers to make Harden look like a superstar on the court and off because that's just how he is and he's a smart guy. he knows Harden is going through the same thing he's gone/going through. they will feed off each other.
Lin doesn't like all the attention. He just wants to play basketball. I'm sure he's as happy as any of us are that he gets someone talented to play in the backcourt with him.
Lin does care about media attention! He is humble and love to play basketball. I don't think you know anything about his character at all!

I'd say extremely relieved. Was going to be a tough ask to have the team on his shoulders for 82 games. Harden will take the pressure and Lin will thrive. I feel a lot better bout Lin playing 2nd fiddle
If I see someone else spell Harden as Hardin, I'm going to lose hope in humanity. His name is on the back of his jersey for 82+ games for Stern sake.
Why would he not be happy in having another great teammate/player to help him out? This can only be good for him and his stats.
Jeremy Lin is scared - he now knows how sneaky Morey is, you can't sleep well when your on the Rockets, your just an asset
I think Lin is relieved. It was pretty obvious that K-Mart was going to get traded. That makes it harder to plan and prepare since you're spending the entire year working on chemistry and just as you're hitting your stride, you're restarting the process. Now he KNOWS Harden is here for the long haul. He KNOWS that he has multiple years to build those sort of special playing connections that all the best teams NEED. I expect Lin is going to do well this year, more importantly as he becomes more familiar with the roster as it stabilizes, he'll start looking even better. You'll see better passing and decision making, and as a consequence more comfort with making not only more aggressive plays, but also more plays where Lin, Asik and Harden will look completel in synch. Lin will know where they are instinctively, and the same will go for Harden and Asik. This is aside from the knowledge that Defenses will have some very tough choices to make. Harden can shoot the jumper AND get to the Rim. This means he can spread the floor (on the court AND off it) in a way that K-mart couldn't -- making Jeremy Lin's job alot easier. This year they'll look good. Next year they should look even better...
If he doesn't like the attention why is he doing all the globe trotting and advertising. He is trying to make his money. He is not dumb.
