obviously its still early with Hardon, but bringing in the leagues top scorer to put alongside yao was obviously more exciting...the idea of championship was in mostly everyones mind.

to me its a tough one. TMAC to Houston is what initially started my love for basketball and he was my favorite player at the time (even before trade) But the Hardin trade seems to put a little bit of life and relevancy back into the Rockets

T-Mac, not even close. He brought legitimate championship expectations.

    Also, believe its spelled "Harden"

while TMAC did bring title hopes, we had a superstar already in Yao. Harden is foundation now.

Right, but when you team a superstar scoring wingman in T-Mac and a dominant 7'6" center, you're thinking championship all the way. We're just hoping we can make the playoffs this year.

Definitely T-mac. That was a complete roster turnover similar to this year, but with veterans instead of young guys.

This is an interesting long-term roster, though. We still have lots of players with star potential.

Two of the biggest offseason signings belong to Houston now: Lin and now Harden.

If you take a look at the total number of posts alone on the harden deal (nearly 1400 in just a few hours in one thread) it's pretty obvious fans are excited. I don't know how many posts there on Lin since his acquisition but it's safe to say there are probably a few thousand).

The rocks have one of the most dynamic and exciting backcourts in the league now.

If the rocks are able to acquire a top tier big they will compete for a championship.
