Ummm... that's a PRETTY DAMN HUGE thing to have over another player. But you also forgot that Harden can pass, something Martin can't do either. Another thing is staying healthy. Oh and I also forgot, he's much younger and still growing.
Right. Also, keep in mind that 1) Rockets can always buy a second round pick. Morey has a good record of discovering good players in the second round. 2) There are not gonna be enough playing time for all our young players to develop their skills on the court. If we draft 3 more players next season, some of them may not even make the 15-man roster.
So no words on which 1st rounders are involved? Because to me that's the most important part. If we keep Toronto's pick and have top-10 protection on all our picks, then this is a great trade. If we have to give up an unprotected pick or Toronto's, then I'm meh on the trade.
You can run your entire offense through Harden though, that's another thing that Martin can't do and Harden is just as much a scorer and can score effectively shooting the ball and driving. Harden is no superstar but he's one of the best SGs in the NBA at least.
Slim didn't like Harden throwing up a gang sign after he made a shot.(I don't pretend to be gang educated but I remember the particular one he was talking about.) He wasn't saying he didn't like Harden, he was saying it was a stupid thing to do seeing as he needs to have a good public image if he wants to be sponsored, mentioning Nike in particular. Seems as if he's had a change of hear recently though

Dope RT @jamesxiijohnson: James Harden to the Rockets? I wonder how @slimthugga feel about that lol
— slim thug (@slimthugga) October 28, 2012

Harden was closing out games and making clutch shots.. he has to be double teamed the rockets finally have a player that has to be double teamed down the stretch
Kevin Martin sucks. Period. Losing him doesn't mean squat. Lamb has great potential but even if he pans out exactly how he's supposed to he won't be better than Harden. It's never fun giving up draft picks but to get a player like James Harden, it's necessary.
we pretty much got black ginobili at age 23.. all we need is a duncan and a tony parker and we are a contender...
