I know some people will get butthurt over his comments, but I'm happy for him. He's going to a contender for the 1st time in his career.
Have mixed feelings on the move. Harden is obviously a good player, but he could very well be a Joe Johnson type of All star. Good, but not a franchise player worth the max, and I don't know how much Harden effects Houston chances to lure other star players. It also pretty much destroys any chance at rebuilding/tanking, but at the same time doesn't make us a contender either. Of course we will see what other moves follow. Considering OKC was going to risk losing Harden for nothing the price seems a bit high at first glance.
Kyle Lowry on the Raptors will make that TOR pick a low one for years to come. It was OK to give that up. Harden gives us our one-on-one player; Aldrich just shored up our back-up center position also. It's as best a trade as we could get this close to season opening
Mark Berman @MarkBermanFox26 [rquoter]Rockets rookie G Jeremy Lamb on trade to Thunder"It's definitely surprising. It's like welcome to the league. That's the only thing I can say. More Jeremy Lamb on trade: "Definitely shocked. Real surprising. I was just getting used to the (Rockets). " More Jeremy Lamb on trade: "Now I have to go to the Thunder family and make my way. They have some great players. Definitely shocked."[/rquoter]
He is going to play with Durant and WB. He will fall in line. Who did he play with last year? When you are in a winning situation, you tend to shut up and play.
Does anyone feel there is a follow-up trade coming? Im pretty sure Morey was done with mediocrity, it was either tank or go all in. He tried to go all in with Dwight but couldnt get it done. We thought it was tank now but then all of a sudden he makes a move that makes us mediocre again. I think there is another trade coming that will probably make us a contender again. Just wishful thinking.
Look, we got to trust Morey. He's done well so far by getting Asik, Parsons, and Lin. Harden brings some great defense and inside scoring at the position. My only concern is Harden's horrific shooting % during the preseason.
Great profile of Harden. Too long to cut and paste whole article. http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/7982195/the-many-faces-oklahoma-city-thunder-guard-james-harden
