That's right. People should be happy with Lin leading the team to wins - that's his job. 'Linsanity' was a special event in which Lin had to be Pete Maravich on a lifeless Knick team. Repeating that stretch probably won't happen quite like that again for Lin, let alone some other virtual rookie.
You might say Lin has become a religion. Or a political figure. In a way it's comical, but also annoying. Either way I'm glad to have him on a young team with almost no expectations and time to grow.
Dragic should be the superior player he's been in the league way longer than Lin has. Lin has played 1225 minutes of regular season basketball.. Dragic has played in 5156 minutes.. that's a lot more basketball at the pro level than Lin. So the fact that you can compare the two speaks more to Lin's favor than it does to Dragic.
last heads up game against Rose, Lin did pretty good I think... but since Rose scored more... to the haters it was like Lin cant play... I am not sure how you can compare a relative rookie to a MVP but then in the same breath say he is a backup or bench player http://https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46YCPnZSZBk&feature=fvwrel
We have no choice but to be patient. They are going to try and find some way to make him earn that $8+ million.
lol the haters were so happy to see Rose's total points against Lin. then they were told how many shots Rose took to get there, they pretty much just shut up. i like Rose but he took it personal to best Lin but ended up injuring himself. caused the team a run at the title.
Nets' Deron Williams: Knicks PG Felton will be better than Lin Deron Williams thinks the Knicks upgraded at point guard this offseason. While Williams praised Jeremy Lin for the way he played in his brief, but spectacular, run as the Knicks starting point guard, he thinks the Knicks have more of a sure thing moving forward in Raymond Felton. “I would say Raymond Felton is a better point guard than Jeremy Lin, in my opinion,” Williams said. “Well, he’s just proven. I can’t go out and say that … [Lin] had a heck of a run. “The numbers he was putting up were All-Star type numbers, when he was starting. We’ll see how he does this year. But going off of track record? I’m gonna go with Raymond Felton. “And Ray probably had his best year [with the Knicks] … that half year he was there, he was averaging like 17 and nine. He definitely likes the bright lights, and they’re a good team with him.” “Linsanity” began last season against the Nets, when Lin came off the bench and scored 25 points and dished out seven assists in a 99-92 win over the Nets on Feb. 4. A little more than later, Williams returned the favor by hitting eight 3-pointers and finishing with 38 points in a 100-92 Nets win at the Garden on Feb 20. Williams and Felton go way back, even sharing the same birthday of June 26, 1984. They both were in the same high school class (Felton was the top-ranked point guard, according to Scout.com, and went to North Carolina while Williams was 12th and went to Illinois), and Williams was drafted third by Utah in 2005, while Felton went fifth to Charlotte. “He looks good,” Williams said of Felton, who finished with 15 points and five assists in Wednesday’s 97-95 overtime win over the Nets at Nassau Coliseum in the preseason finale for both teams. “He looks in shape this year." “I’ve known Ray since high school. I enjoy playing against him. He’s a competitor.” http://www.nypost.com/p/blogs/netsblog/nets_deron_williams_knicks_made_5V7sugPfwXBIl5867MI1MK
It's amazing how obsessed the nyc media is with Lin. They just won't let up. Lin is nowhere in sight and yet they find a way to sneak a question is asking ppl to compare or comment on Lin. Lin is better than Felton. Period. It's going to be crazy in NYC on 12-17-12 when linsanity comes back to the MSG. I hope Lin drops 30 on them that night and the rockets win. C'mon David stern make it happen. The hoopla will be bigger than Jordan's 55 at MSG!
Doesn't matter if it's Lin, Fat Felton, or Grandpa Kidd, NY still doesn't make it out of the first round in a weak Eastern Conference. Nets suck too.

Deron is more than entitled to his own opinion. Also, if he is friends with Felton I would be surprised if he said otherwise. Non story.
Hate to burst your bubble but Rubio is ten times the point guard Lin will ever be. Far superior player.
this guy FanOnGessner is going to get his head bashed multiple times. this is akin to going into going into a crowd of black people and dropping the N-word.
What is it with you haters?smh Can someone please tell me what Lin did or said so badly to deserve so much hate?? And puleeze don't tell me it was the salary cuz he was making $750,000, the league minimum last year and put up 18 & 8 and getting just as much as hate. And don't tell me that it was the small number of games he started, cuz Goran started the same number of games.
Response Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Who cares? Hey, I think Durant is better than LeBron? Does that make me a hater? No, that's called an opinion. Of course, Felton is more experienced; that also means no upside surprises.
These are two very nice pieces. Thanks! He really is a good kid. Crazy how he inspires so much hate. Glad to see he played a nice game last night. Good going into the regular season.
