Like JuanValdez and Clutch said, the "bad" TMac happened a season later, not in 07-08 for the revisionists. That TMac was a better player than Allen. That said, that TMac also was beginning to show his injury proneness.

I suspect the real reason why the FO might even consider the trade was because TMac seemed not to fit Adelman's system very well. I remember Doc Rocket posted a cryptic post about "can't argue about the 40 points" or something like that. Was that the same year?

 

But Vince Carter actually helped the Orlando Magic get very far in the playoffs. I don't remember Tracy in Orlando do that.

He's also still in the NBA.
