As I said before when it comes to politics Romney is unprincipled. I am sure he is personally a good man but it is obvious that he will say whatever it takes to win.

A conservative, a moderate and a liberal walk into a bar. The bartender says "nice to see ya Mitt."

You mean law that Mitt Romney wants to keep many of the provisions and rammed through an almost identical one in Mass. and that he is proud of?

So, how is this any different from say, Clinton and Obama all but taking a literal axe to each other in 2008 and then being all buddy buddy after Obama won the nomination? I mean, if you just figured out that there are factions within the Republican Party and they can fight with each other pretty bitterly, that says more about you than the party.

So, how is this any different from say, Rebpulicans in 2008 making a big deal about the Democrats doing this during their primary? :)

Virtually none of the fight between Hillary and Obama were on policy grounds - it was all personality / leadership style / experience. Mitt vs the other GOP contenders was about policy.

This is exactly the way I feel about this. The Romney campaign seriously feels like a winner's campaign, while the Obama campaign really feels like a loser's campaign. Obama's electoral advantage was so huge that he could have lost all of his mojo and still eek out a narrow victory, and Romney's confidence may only lead to a come-back that falls short in the fourth quarter. If Obama wins, he should thank God that the election wasn't 2 weeks later.

If getting excited about restoring the future of America is lame, then I'm guilty as charged.

They must have some internal polling numbers showing that its close. Looking at the available polls, it looks likes like Obama had this was squared away.

Part of this is too much campaign cash. The two campaigns raised close to $200MM in the 1st half of October. They just can't spend that on swing-state advertising - the markets are already saturated - and it's a bit late to really start spending on more staffing or whatnot.

So Romney threw some money into MN, and Obama is likely responding to be safe. Both campaigns just have way too much money at this point and are likely to be pretty wasteful with it.
