I was refering to that one game. He did similar things in a few other games, but it's still preseason and it's true he's facing backups in limited 15 minutes per game. He didn't do well on defense against us.

If you want to win in the near future, then probably yes. We need to develop our prospects for longer term success.

I don't. From the looks of it, I think E. Curry eats a lot more than just peanuts.

4 Reasons We Should Sign Eddy Curry:

1> He's an NBA CHAMPION! Dude has a ring.

2> We need more veteran leadership on this squad!

3> We can get him for cheap.

4> You know what they say: You can't teach width.

I remember when Curry was in his prime with the Knicks and was putting up all star numbers, although Yao did dominate both times they met that year (This is going back a few years when Yao was putting up MVP numbers just before major injury).

I don't remember how he fell so fast? Was it major injury that lead to him gain weight or what? I remember something about a limo driver suing him for sexual harrassment or something along those lines but boy... wonder what could have been...

In this case, I'll take Greg smith's FG% in the pre-season, and the similar low rebounding/average defense

Curry shoots a lot more per minute and also can create for himself. Agree with the bad rebounding and defense though.

DALLAS -- The Dallas Mavericks claimed veteran center Eddy Curry off of waivers.

"We are excited to bring Eddy Curry to Dallas," president of basketball operations Donnie Nelson said in a release. "He has worked extremely hard this offseason and can provide our front line with much needed depth."

I don't think Curry has ever been a good player EVER. He scored 20 pts a game on the Bulls but never did anythign else, rebs, blocks, steals or D. In fact somebody made a "Curry Line" to track all the non-point stats a player made and named it after him LOL.

IIRC he got a max contract from Isiah Thomas after that breakout season on the Bulls, but then he got that heart condition and became overweight.

He's about to get waived by the all-you-can-eat buffet places once they realize how broke he is.
