I still maintain that Lin is just trolling you all. No matter what happens, though, we will still be much better off than Knicks fans. That much is for certain.
I love Jeremy Lin, I hate Jeremy Lin fanatic fans. They're similar to the Islamic extremists. One negative comment and they want to start a riot and kill somebody. It was the same thing with Yao fans. Even Tebow fans don't get this passionate. What's up with that?
i will be so offensive as how the quotes about Lin I learned this in ESPN boards. I will not accept free-nonsense offensive quotes.
JLin played not up to his potential or as people expected in these pre-season games. I know. But I will gladly welcome him back to NY if Rockets don't want him. http://www.change.org/petitions/new...ep-jeremy-lin-match-the-houston-rockets-offer I used to be knicks fan for 15 years and still be. And I now add Rockets as my favorite team the day JLin joined the Rockets. Go Rockets.
Which of the two parts are you confused about? Dude, that is cold, man, that is cold. The long-suffering Knicks fans did not deserve to be accused of being Melo fans. The long-suffering Knicks fans have my sympathies; the Melo fans deserve all the humiliation they shall receive in the not-too-distant future.
Actually, it doesn't. The range of meniscus damage requiring surgery is very broad. The simplest meniscus surgery is the trimming of the cartilage. That's a straight forward procedure involving trimming the edges of the cartilage when it becomes frayed. The recovery time is very quick. Jeremy Lin had his meniscus REPAIRED. That means they had to SUTURE the torn meniscus. That sort of injury is a more significant type of surgery, that requires a substantial amount of recovery time. There are actually 6 different types of tears, describing different locations and styles of the tear. The difference is like trying to compare a piece of paper that's frayed around the edges and a piece of paper that has a tear down the middle. Completely different, with completely different types of recovery. Also, the location of the tear itself has significant impact. Cartilage has an uneven distribution of blood circulation, which means some parts of the meniscus recover MUCH more quickly than other parts of the cartilage. It would be like trying to compare a hairline fracture with a cleanly broken bone. They both can require a cast. They're both broken bones. However, they're not the same. This is in addition to the fact that the Meniscus is NOT a single piece of cartilage. There are actually two different menisci, the Medial meniscus and the Lateral meniscus (front and back) located in different parts of the knee which tend to be symptomatic of different types of injury. It would be wise to do some reading on the condition before you apply a broad "one size fits all" and try to compare the 2 surgeries. Here are the basic treatment regimens for a REPAIRED meniscus... http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/sport-injuries/knee-pain/lateral-cartilage-tear In other words, 7 weeks typically before you can swim and get on a bicycle.
Us? I don't think you want to be part of the collective. He is just trolling all the clowns out of the woodworks so he can humiliate them so thoroughly in one fell swoop that they all burrow deep into the soft earth in shame and suffocate.
Yes, it is a cold hard fact. Besides, I didn't say one bad word against Melo over the knicks forum. I hate to argue in that nature. I Just want JLin to play and enjoy good basketball for a team with knowledgeable fans, like you.
1) Okay, 7 weeks. Sooo, what week are we on now with Lin? 2) How do you know the specifics of Lin's surgery? Link please? 3) How do you know JR Smith, Lestar Jean, or Blake Griffin didn't get their menisci "repaired" as opposed to "trimmed"? Link, please? 4) See 1.
He was doing contact drills in preparation for the playoffs last year when he was still in week 5 of his recovery after surgery. That is way too soon to be doing such strenuous exercise if he did get his meniscus repaired. Thus, I believe he had his trimmed. Trimmed meniscus recovery time is around 4-6 weeks, which was the reported recovery time for him.
Steve Nash wasn't "Steve Nash" at 24 y/o.... Every player that young has room to improve their game. Lin is not the full Lin yet. He has a LOT of parts to his game that can be improved upon. To think he's hit his ceiling slightly r****ded. One thing he DOES have, though, is ice in his blood. That Horry type clutch. You either have that or you don't.
I am not a betting man, but if I was, then i would bet on the young guy who we all saw the ceiling in terms of potential. given that we got a free sneak preview, the next question is how high of a chance that he achieves it. rox bet on lin that a young guy with good work ethic and great character might have a pretty good chance of reaching ceiling or close to it. Cant blame them for that.
