More like just enough time to screw the Rox from having a contending team again.

Thanks Stern, you've been much appreciated.

Adam Silver isn't exactly the greatest replacement in the world, but at this point I'd take almost anyone over Stern.

In unrelated news, ESPN announces they will hire Stan Van Gundy on February 2, 2014.

I believe that aside from the whole trade thing (which really wasn't directly his fault, but more the owners) and the recent labor disputes he's done a good job of growing the sport over his tenure, particularly in overseas growth which I think is extremely important for the future of the sport.

I lol'd, too bad I must spread rep around before I can rep you again.

    On the Stern news:

Will be a glorious day, too bad Silver has a chance to be 100x worse and Houston will be infinitely doomed without a superstar, but SOMEONE needs to replace Stern, I'm tired of his antics.

Michael Jordan grew the game of basketball, not David ****ing Stern. He's been given undue credit for that for years.

Stern deserves credit for making NBA an international brand. Having Magic, Larry, and MJ certianly didn't hurt, but you can't deny Stern had a major impact.

I really can't put into words how happy this makes me. I'm not so sure about Silver replacing him, though... he'll probably just be Stern 2.0.
