That's an interesting one, who would you want more, right now, for this season SB run: Eric Winston or Dwayne Bowe?

Winston. The right side run game has been lacking.

Agreed, I want him back, and he never really wanted to leave after all. I miss his run blocking.

Yeah, I expected a lot more from our WR's this year. Martin hasn't done much of anything. Jean seems full of potential, but what good is it if you can't stay healthy? And Posey seems poised to be the next Antwaun Molden.

As far as Bowe goes, trading for him would be nice, but is seems like a very un-Texan kind of move. Pretty much no way this is happening.

Were already a really good legit passing team? I don't see it compared to other teams. its on the running game for it to be good. I just think it will help big time and put us over the top..espaically if the run game isn't working or if were behind and need to catch up. But since we do then its pointless for this thread. Close this thread!

I'm as big a champion of Schaub and our passing game as you'll find on this board. I've stood my ground on Kevin Walter and routinely led or been near the front of opposition to the, "But we need a #2 WR!!!!!" rhetoric.

I hope AJ, as Kubiak suggested, will get stronger as the year goes. I hope the right-side of our OL continues to improve as the year goes. I hope Arian Foster's load is lessened as the year goes and that he's not worn out come playoff time. But am I sure all three of those things are going to play out in our favor?

It just seems like adding a significant offensive piece would relieve what's currently a small margin for error. If teams can effectively shut down AJ, collapse the right-side of our line and stuff a tired Foster... a truly remarkable season could very easily be over like that. (You can't see me, but I'm snapping my fingers when I say, "like that.")

We've wasted too many prime years. We gave away winnable games in 2009; we took 3,298,477 steps backward with Frank Bush in 2010; we suffered through too many injuries in 2011. We're not quite at the point of "now or never" - but it's coming. Sooner rather than later. The time to sell-out and win at all costs is here. I'd hate to watch another memorable season end on a forgetable note.

I see what you're saying bro...fully understand where you're coming from...

But i feel like your logic can be applied to all teams...hence the packers and the saints. You stuff the passing game and they're screwed...You open up the defense on the Seahawks and they're screwed. The idea is applicable everywhere..

Luckily we're multifaceted so we don't have to rely on just one aspect of our game. The good part about us is that we don't excel at just one thing...we're verrry balanced. Like I said though...you can never have too many weapons. I just don't want to give too much away for getting one thing ya know?

listen bro...I get it. You want us to save draft picks because you think we're balanced enough that it won't make a difference. But here's my problem: Like Hey Now! said if this isn't the year then when? If you have the chance to get a pro-Bowl receiver (he went in 2010) at a relative bargain I think you do it. I know that Walter has been having a good year but Imagine a receiving corp of Johnson, Bowe and Walter in the slot. That would be crazy. Our team is balanced, yes, but I think Bowe puts us over the top. He's just another player that needs to be defended. It takes pressure off of Andre and really takes pressure of Walter. Adding offensive weapons is not going to hurt us. While I think we have other needs such as ILB and RT, I would be afraid of the cost there as well as how players would fit into the system. We are seeing growth on the right side of the line and especially with the bye week I see them coming out strong. ILB is a little bit more problematic, but I believe in Wade being successful with what he's got. Also, I am not sure of a player who would fill that need at a cost we can afford.

Great job, at first I was thinking: he may not help much, but I think now he is worth it even if short term. Our time is now!

    No.

It takes too long to get WRs implemented into new systems to just bring him over if it is just for a rental of less then a year. Remember the Cowboys big Roy Williams trade, how did that work out for them that season? Chad OchoCinco as he was called never got a grasp on the Pats play book.

We have enough problems getting young turks like Martin, Jean and Posey acclimated, no need to add in a guy that is used to being boss hog of a small pond and wants to get paid. It would make more sense to trade for Wes Welker who at least has been shown to be a disciplined professional.

I'd be willing to part with a 3rd round pick for a Dwayne Bowe rental this season. We are in the rare position where we are on a Super Bowl run, but also have enough youth and depth in MOST positions to where we don't need to stockpile draft picks. Like someone said earlier, Brandon Lloyd was had for a 5th rounder last season, and Bowe is younger, and a much better receiver. I say you roll the dice and offer up a third rounder, and see what KC says. You add Bowe to this offense, and all of a sudden, you are putting pressure on the entire secondary. If this offensive line continues to protect Schaub in the passing attack the way they have all season, there isn't a secondary in the league who could stop a receiving corps of Johnson, Bowe, Daniels, and Foster.

Do what now?? Bowe would most likely be a rental as it is, and Tate is far more valuable to this offense than another receiver right now. Besides, the last thing the Chiefs need is another running back. They need draft picks and lots of them.

A 5th rounder seems ok. A 3rd rounder seems crazy.

I"m all for winning a Superbowl, but even with Bowe so many things would still have to go right. You're still one Jacoby Jones esque punt fumble away from an earlier than expected playoff loss.

I'd prefer sustained excellence with the occasional Superbowl or two. See Patriots, Steelers, Packers, Giants. I understand all those teams have a more elite level QB, so can get behind the argument that with this quarterback you only have so many years left so that's why you do it.

But otherwise, aren't the Patriots, the Patriots, because they don't trade 3rd rounders for 9 game rentals?

If you can trade anything less than a 3rd round pick for Bowe, YOU DO IT. Bowe would be an immediate impact on the offense. Line him up at slot and have him run simple slant routes until he picks up the offense.

Why do you guys really care if we trade away a 4th or 5th rounder? Owen Danials, Domanick Davis, and Glover Quin. Every other pick was trash, including TJ Yates.

We have a run stopping ILB, we need one that's good in coverage.

I agree that you do that trade for a probowl wideout everytime...but If TJ Yates is anything it's certainly not trash
