That article should've been titled "Knob Slopping Manning".

nooo Manning he's an elite QB and Ive heard his name a lot so they are better. Don't get confused by the numbers, judge only by time covered on sportsceneter.

Also, one of their 3 losses is to the Texans, so it stands to reason that they're better than the Texans.

Look, I'm a texans fan and so are you. So our opinions are biased. But I think if you go to any other board and tell them we were "dominating" the broncos 7-5 after quarter 1, they probably think you're nuts.

    But that's just me conjecturing

Their defense was solid last year when healthy, and in the 2nd halfs this season, it has been very good.

yeah they have some names on defense, especially Dummervil, Miller and Champ. Their D is not bad at all.

Who would argue we were dominating after the 1stQ? Strange perspective.

If you build a 20-point lead, on the road: you are dominating. That domination might meet a grisly end if the other team wipes the deficit out. But that doesn't retroactively invalidate the 45(ish) minutes you were d-stomping your opponent.

The Broncos spent a week game-planning and preparing for the Texans. And the Texans thoroughly decimated those plans. Once the foot left the pedal, and Denver threw their best-laid plans out the window, the game looked more competitive. But it really wasn't.

    Injuries hurt..especially losing Cushing.

Texans to not want to face Manning in the playoffs. Same ol' story.

So true, ..for a stretch it showed what our team can do when they play to potential. Consistency is key.

If the score was 7-5 after 15 minutes, then you didn't dominate for those 15 minutes. I saw the texans dominate 2 quarters, got owned in 1 quarter, and even for 1 quarter. But perhaps we watched different games here

To your first point about 65% being insanely high, how is that not accurate?? Right now, the Texans own, in essence, a 2 game lead over the SECOND PLACE TEAM in the AFC (Ravens) with 9 games remaining. Now, when you take into account that the Ravens are clearly on the decline as far as play on the field, you have to believe that they will lose some more games. Heck, off the top of my head, they still have a date with the Giants, 2 dates with the Steelers, another game with the Bengals, a game with the Broncos, and a game with the Chargers. That's 6 games out of 9 where they're really going to have to step up their play from what they've been showing lately. Then you take into account that there isn't another team in the AFC better than 4-3, and it's pretty obvious who the clear cut favorite is. I think even you would agree that AT THIS POINT, the Texans are a better than 50/50 shot to finish as the #1 seed.

To your second point, I don't know if you are agreeing with me or not. But, in your scoring breakdown, how can anyone NOT see that the Texans dominated after 3 quarters?? The score was 31-11 for God's sake! If that's not domination, then I'm really not sure what is.

Didn't they score immediately after the second quarter started, which implies that they drove the ball down the field at the end of the first?? Again, I'm really not sure what you're arguing here. The score was 7-5 after one quarter. A quarter in which the Texans started the game on their own 2 yard line, got safetied, then had to give the ball up and give Denver good field position, where they scored a field goal, and then gave up absolutely nothing after that. I would hardly say they were "even" for that quarter.

Either way, the Texans held a 31-11 lead ON THE ROAD in the 4th quarter, and were driving to put the game completely out of reach when Tate fumbled. Up until THAT point in the game, I think anybody would say that the Texans were dominating the game. Who cares if they didn't dominate the first quarter?? There's a reason why the game is 4 quarters. Game plans aren't built around a quarter-by-quarter basis. Nobody cares how even the game was for the first 15 minutes (which, it wasn't even that close based on the play on the field).
