Yes! I'm not aware of many other shows that attempt to present the horror genre. This show does just that. You've got over the top sexuality, gore, piousness and some parts that will make you jump. Jessica Lange is fantastic. Some of the other week to week actors are not but that fits the genre just fine for me. I think this show is unique. It's not going to change your life but how many singing competitions or versions of The Office do you need?
It's diffidently worth watching. It's kind of like The Twilight Zone, Tales From The Dark Side but instead of one story lasting one episode it takes up the entire season.
Murphy has said in interviews that they may or may not be real, remember you are dealing with potentially crazy people.
I'm not sure how much the aliens will come into play going forward. I'll admit I haven't read any spoilers or anything. Spoiler To this point it looks like they just get one of the main characters into the asylum. They did put a subcutaneous device in him but like I said I'm not sure how much more we'll see of them.
Wasn't planning on watching it this year since they scrapped everything and made a big campaign around some random, borderline singer as the supposed main character. Anyways, got bored and watched, it was definitely entertaining.
So confused as to the direction this season is going... Spoiler Aliens, monster killers, and now exorcisms? I don't know what to think. However that being said, tonight's episode was much better than the last.
Not sure if I should be spoilering or not... Spoiler Don't forget the creatures outside. What happen to the nun? Did the Doc try to erase a memory. It seemed like it worked until the nun threw the blanket off her when he left? Apparently she is the one who is possessed now.
Spoiler The show runner has said various times that we had to remember that some of these characters are insane, hence some of what we are seeing may not be real.
interesting Spoiler then let's play who's the craziest. I think it might be Lana. Also, here's an interesting article about episode 2 Here are the parts I found most interesting: Spoiler
Great finds, this is shaping up to be a really interesting season. Episode 2 seemed a lot more focused than the first.
No, he didn't try and erase her memory. I'm not sure what the whole candy apple incident meant, but he clearly thinks of her as an innocent being in that unholiest of holy places. However, the demon that was possessing Jed as now jumped to Sister Mary Eunice, and is possessing her. That's going to be really interesting going forward. And it's going to be really interesting to see how Lana deals with not having any more friends in the Asylum now. She burned the bridge with Grace now, so she's pretty much on her own.
