I have a hard time relating to the whole tanking for draft pick idea. Even if Rox get a great draft pick next year, it will look JUST LIKE THIS for another year -- the rookie making mistakes and figuring it out. And that's assuming that the draft pick will pan out, and there are plenty of examples of that never happening even for players selected very high. I for one don't want to have to wait it out that long. I want to see this team do something special this year.

Wow, you are comparing Lin to these HOFs. What a compliment.

I don't think it's racist either, but I don't get thei undeserving part. Didn't he play well last year? Dragic played well last year and he got a big contract, Novak played well and got also a big contract, so on and so no. Why is Lin underserving?

we Rockets fans always hate Asian players no matter what, we never supported any Asian players ever.

Cut with the race baiting. That is nonsense. People are free to critique any player without being thought to be racist. Now some people are just being trolls and unfair. I understand some of it because a lot of people miss Goran or Lowry which I can appreciate.

Yao was never bashed. We all loved the big fella because he was consistantly good.

Interesting to know how Gorgic is doing in the preseason games with Phoenix since most of you said that he will be a all-star pg. Or, it doesn't matter since this is preseason, good or bad? Any one mind to share?

People should post it in the Dish. Remember this is for the Rockets discussion as we were all told. He's no longer a Rocket.

Davis was clearly a bright light on the Hornets, kid really has skills, his and 1 and putback tip in was pretty sweet. That said I think T Jones today played well, at least on equal level or maybe even outplayed Davis. It was almost as if Davis had bet Jones before the game that'd he'd get a block on him, Jones was trying hard not to get blocked by Davis. I really like TJ's effort so far, it's been excellent, considering one of concerns pre draft was about his motor.

After today's performance, where would Jones get drafted?

    Above Davis possibly?

Fans here may not have bashed Yao, but he certainly had a number of doubters in the media. Lin actually mentioned that recently, in China.

Look, Lin isn't at his best. That's clear. I don't think it's a big surprise and I don't think it will last, either. He's coming off of the knee issue, is on a new team and learning a new system, is playing with guys he doesn't know and who don't know him.

He's going to be fine, it just might take some time. You can't do what he did last year without a good amount of talent. Yes, teams have adjusted to him but that means doubling him on the pick and roll and leaving the roller open.

I suggest some patience. That doesn't mean we can't talk about his struggles, but I don't think we want to go into New York Bitter Hater mode, either.

No one suggested he wont anout, the roblem here is if you have the sheer audacity to say Lin had a bad game, you will painted as an Racist Neo-Nazi.These idiots are going way over the top.

Because what he does, doesn't matter. Hate has no reason. And often guises itself as the voice of reason and can't recognize itself.

Nah some of the rookies on the other teams are really tearing it up, and the brow seems pretty solid, just needs to buff up a bit. But just taking the games so far, you could make a case for being a top 10 pick.

TJ is def my favorite rook right now, didn't anticipate that I guess, it's a pleasant suprise though! The other rooks have been rather lackluster so far...hope they can get it going.

For the record i've said he will panout and by seasons end he will average in the vicinity of 14 to 17 points and just over 7 assists a game.
