He over-helped last year on too many occasions and relied too much on team defense. He needs to stick to his man more like a veteran.

Once again the double standards make me laugh. The entire issue with Lin was small sample size of 25 starts & yet people are talking from 5 pre-season games of which the the Rockets are running a top 3 offense. He needs to get his legs under him because he has been facilitating well so teams are going to take away his passing lanes which will create more scoring opportunities. He needs to be able to score. If he gets his scoring touch back makes the entire team even more strong seeing as how he is the floor general & him being effective offensively helps the entire team. Right now he is going in the ways of Rubio like last year.

Never liked the signing. You let two very very good point guards go to overpay for a cash cow. A little disappointment towards the Rockets organization thus far. We'll see how it all plays out

Goran got a player option. That is a terrible contract to try to trade. It's even more terrible for a rebuilding team.

We got a first round, possible lottery pick for Lowry. It is a pick protected on the downside as well as upside. It had to be done.

Lin is 3 years younger than those other guys. He didn't get a player option, and his average salary is not outrageous. He showed enough upside to be worth the risk.

Lin isnt a rookie so this talk about being patient and wait to see what he can do is ridiculous. Any competent basketball watcher sees that lin is a below avg pg whose ceiling is fast approaching. I'll wait and be patient with lamb, Dmo, jones, white, parsons and machado everybody else absolutely not we know what kind of player you are.

His D is ahead of his offensive game thus far. I will give him a whole month into the reagular season to get his Offense back into shape.

I respectfully disagree with this. He is in his 3rd year in the NBA with 28 starts under his belt & he just turned 24 I believe. It isn't to farfetched to call him a "rookie". Not the same as Goran who is in like his 6th year in the NBA 28 years old with 28 starts under his belt. If your not going to be patient with this entire team then you are going to be crazy miserable this season.

Goran is 26 but I agree with your overall point.

Lin is still very young and has shown as much or more at his age than Goran and Lowry did at that age.

For the life of me, now I cannot find the vid from his shooting coach. I remember him saying that if you're a right handed shooter, your jump shot will be to lead off his left foot. I'm assuming he meant the left leg would be the catalyst. Possibly the left knee/leg is still not in balance for his jump shot. Even though he says the knee is fine, it could serve as a disruption in his technique. I'm sure he's working on it by repetition.

Why would I be miserable when i'm expecting and hoping for a top 5 pick in next years draft? I wanted us to tank last year so I wont be miserable I've washed my hands with this season. Lamb, jones and Dmo is the future of this team not Lin hes only here bc hes relevant.

Here's what Lin said after the game:

As it is with all guys: First you gotta regain the ability to penetrate, then you work on finishing.

Yes, as a Lin fan, I'll always root for Lin.

By the time Rox signed Lin, how many decent FAs were still available on the market? If Rox didn't sign Lin at that time, who would Rox pick up to play PG? did Rox have many choices?

As Lin is our PG now, better give him time to figure out
