I like being able to trade picks.

I like the trade deadline idea for next year or possibly this year. Perhaps we should vote?

I like the idea of a keeper however I do not like that the draft order is random meaning someone with Rodgers or Foster can also get the 1st pick overall. That's just crazy and I feel strongly that it should be addressed before next year. My team is an honest-to-goodness example. My team sucked in 2011, my keeper was Chris Johnson, a player projected in the 8-15 range and I had the 11th overall pick in 2012. It's also worth noting I had a pick in the 7-12 range in every league I was in this year and I passed on CJ2K in all of them - he was simply the best option on my old team.

Personal bias or not, the logic doesn't compute and I'm fine with where we're at now but we have got to address it going forth.

Completely agree with Ziggy. I think the draft order should be dependent on the previous year. Win/Loss/Scoring like in baseball keeper leagues I'm in.

The baseball league bases the draft position on total points scored. In baseball we have pitching game limits, and teams that do not use up all of their available starter or relief pitcher games get assessed a +20 or +10 point penalty for each unused SP or RP game at the end of the year. This is a deterrent against a team simply benching all of its pitchers in order to tank for a better pick.

I'm down with doing away with the waiver system, even though I work mostly every Sunday it really hasn't helped me much in terms of getting out of the cellar... I have to give thanks to Zig for that one. ;)

I also agree with the keeper specifics and how the draft order is affected based on keepers selected. No problem with a trade deadline either.

I really don't mind the random draft order. Flash for example had Aaron Rodgers and the number 6 pick this year. Even though he has had a few great weeks and a few moderate weeks he is still 4-3 and not 7-0.

Moe's drafted 12th and is tied for first in our division...I see the argument about it being fair to base it off of points, but I just don't see the correlation.

It's really about draft strategy and luck at the end of the day.

What you're saying doesn't make sense to me. Moes is first with the 12th pick, that just means he'd have the opportunity to be even better with the 1st pick. He would have either drafted the same or taken someone he believed was better. This is about fair positioning without regard to who took who and where anyone sits.

I see what you are saying, but I just don't think it guarantees anything. Moe's would have taken Darren McFadden (55 points) most likely who is not having as good of a year as his 12th pick which was Victor Cruz (107 points). I just think it is based on luck and how well you draft at other positions honestly.

    I'm fine either way though!

The same goes for pro sports. The 1st pick overall doesn't guarantee anything, it's having the opportunity that is important. It's guys like you that try to keep guys like me playing pee-pee games in the Big 12 instead of the SEC.

Moes' team has the 9th best point total in the league. His team is far from a juggernaut, despite the 5 - 2 record.

The top 4 teams by total points are Rook, Pete, PSJ and Fade. Of those, 3 are being helped enormously by their keeper studs. PSJ's got Brees at 29ppg, Rook's got Foster at 19ppg, Fade's got Rice at 15ppg. Pete's been limited to only keeping the world's best TE. That's their first round choices (keepers); the 1st round of the draft really represents the 2nd round of players.

Can someone process the waivers? I thought we had decided to end them now? I need a starter in DB.

I get Moes 7th for my 10th or 11th or something with that one trade. Also, start that DL he's sending me. Also, I get 2 pumpkinators and rights to any future rare seasonal brews - expiring in 2015.

My next year's 7th rounder for Zig's 10th rounder is the deal.
