I can only watch this show on dvr. I sure did jump when Hershel grapped the tramp. I hate absolutely hate Lori and Rick sidebar.
They're trying really hard to make Lori and Carl likeable this season. Her lines are basically apologies: "I know I've been a ****ty wife, and I won't be winning any mother of the year awards" and bringing Hershel back to life. Also, they're trying to make Carl not so annoying this season and playing off last season with lines like "This place will give Carl a chance to do... well whatever it is he does these days" and having him retrieve the medical supplies from the infirmary.
I don't really like that, he's going to go off and do something really stupid...like getting the medical supplies...that was very stupid. But I mean the kid can hit a walker in the dome from 70 yards with a pistol so what do I know
Last season Rick was already a bad ass, remember when he wasted the two guy's in the town bar ? That was the scene reminded me of a old west movie ... Season 3 is shaping up to be the best so far.Love how the story is actually moving along...season 2 plot development was painfully slow. I'm guessing the watcher in the bushes is just someone from the populated town.If it's near the prison they must have heard gunshots(or saw smoke) and sent out a scout.
If it helps at all the comic followed a pretty similar path, the farm wasn't very impressive but when they moved to the prison things really picked up. I've been pretty happy with how they've translated the overall general idea from the comic.
Yeah, i thought Herschel had turned when he pulled Lori in.......and then again while Rick was next to him, which would make Rick chop his head off on the spot. I was almost sure Herschel would die. It would certainly complicate Lori's birth, which adds some drama to keep the season going. She could even lose the baby to gain some sympathy from viewers. But I don't read the comic, so maybe they both make it
At this point it doesn't matter much what has happened or will happen in the comic. They have done a good job of keeping people who have read all the material guessing by having people die at different times, or join the group under different circumstances, etc. The change with Carl was very much needed, though it may be too much of a change too soon. Maybe all the events they went though to get to the prison helped shape the change?
Perhaps some of the gang of 30 men that is still out there? On another note, maybe I missed it but what is this about Lori being a bad wife and the distance between them now. Is that all supposed to be over Shane? It just seems odd that it creeps up now and was never an issue before. I just started watching the show last Friday, so needless to say I had a marathon weekend
She slept with Shane after they'd gotten out of the city, there's a chance its Shane's kid. She pretty much pushed Rick to kill Shane at the end of last season and then gave him an attitude for actually doing. I took it as Rick making peace with whatever happened but not letting her mess with his emotions during the "winter" and keeping her at arms lenght.
Hahaha. Oh man, if ever there was a sentiment that doesn't apply to the comic, it's the thought of people "making it." I don't think I can even recall half of the important characters they've killed off. Just way too many.

The blonde daughter must have wanted to be a school teacher because she is hoping to do things with Carl that she wouldn't feel right about doing with anyone else.
