DO you guy agree with McHale assessment. I do feel though that he has little patience with team performance once thing aren't going to par, like he looks like hes ready to quit. But I want to see how he does this season, with developing the youngins.

I would agree... also has a love affair with running pick and roll, thus lacking the needed creativity to outwit other teams. Also lacks charisma to motivate.

Rankings seem arbitrary as all get-out. Bleacher Report quality article imo.

Pretty unfair of him to put 2 newcomers at the bottom too. Vinny DelNegro is proven to be clearly the worst coach in the NBA.

    21. Kevin McHale (Houston): Can’t hide his cynical attitude. Not thoroughly committed to coaching.

I said so and I was mob attacked for that:(

I think McHale's ranking is about right. I might rank him slightly better, but not too much.

I know that a lot of smart basketball people like George Karl, but he's a little too high for me here. I just think he's shown too many times that his teams have shortcomings come playoff time. Too much freelancing and not enough structure. Also not a fan of him handling rookies and I'm not too keen on the idea of starting guys that will end up playing 12 minutes the whole game.

I think Scott Skiles is a better coach than Spoelstra, maybe Doug Collins, too.

Lawrence Frank and Keith Smart are too high. Monty Williams and Dwane Casey should be higher. I think Scott Brooks & Alvin Gentry derseve to be higher also.

This ranking is done by Charley Rosen.

This is pathetic one-liner coach comparison. It is not a fair comparision or ranking. Never like the content of his articles in the past.

But he is entitled to his opinion.

As much as I dislike McHale, it is clear that no thought went into this article, ESPN-quality article.
