In the debate on foreign policy Romney didn't mention veterans once. Oh I forget, you're the one who said he was too good (sorry, smart) to serve.
What I said was true. What is non-existent would be you caring that Romney can't be bothered to mention our military men and women during last night's debate, and during his convention speech. In my opinion, what it reflects is a fundamental flaw of Mitt Romney. That he can't seem to wrap his head around anything not connected to business. And when he does make an effort, he's unconvincing. Honestly, I just think he's that shallow.
Obama barely won NC in 2008 (something like 12,000 votes). I wouldn't spend one more dime over there if I was team Obama. He doesn't need it to get re-elected.
Can you tell me what Obama said? I honestly don't remember either one talking about veterans at all during the debate - did Obama just throw in a "I support our vets" line or was there something substantial about something like their benefits or something like that?
Could the race already be over? Is The Race In Ohio Already Over? As both presidential campaigns ratchet up their efforts to capture Ohio’s 18 electoral votes, recent polling suggests the race might already be over—for Mitt Romney. Certain key data from the latest polls suggest that President Obama’s victory in the Buckeye State could be a foregone conclusion — because each survey suggests that President Obama holds a double digit lead among those who have already voted. SurveyUSA’s poll showed Obama leading 57 to 38 percent — a 19-point margin. Rasmussen Reports, a Republican-leaning pollster, found Obama leading by 29 points, 63 to 34 percent. The Wall Street Journal/NBC News showed Obama ahead by 26 points, 63 to 37 percent. A PPP poll found Obama leading by the largest margin of all, 76 to 24 percent. In all of these cases, the numbers cited reflect only those who have already voted. Another important indicator that bodes well for Obama can be found in the registration numbers. According to a memo released by the Obama campaign, four in five in Ohioans who have registered to vote this cycle are either female, younger than 30, or African-American or Latino, which are all demographics that lean strongly Democratic. Additionally, almost two-thirds of Ohioans who registered to vote live in counties where Obama won in 2008. Other favorable statistics for Obama can be found in the early voting data. Specifically, 55 percent of the early-vote ballots requested in 2012 come from women, which is 3 percentage points greater than in 2008. Part of the reason the Obama campaign has been doing so well in Ohio (and swing states in general when compared to his national polling numbers), is that Ohio’s economy is doing better than the national average. Unemployment is currently at 7 percent, down from 7.2 percent, or 0.8 percent below the national figure in September. Many of those jobs are in manufacturing and were created by the auto rescue — sectors that have been a centerpiece of the re-election campaign.
I invented the common cold... Does that mean I really did it? So what they took credit, that doesn't mean they actually did it. Did you know gullible is not in the dictionary? I can't fault the President or his staff for doing their due process to find out what was going on before saying anything about it. Do you want a President who stands up at the podium and just says things without checking the facts?
Can't wait to see how bob marley tries to spin this. "Independents and Republicans vote on Election Day! Not during early voting!"
It's just odd, in my opinion. Add his weird convention speech, and it sure seems like more than a coincidence.
And I stand by that statement. BTW you really shouldn't be addressing someone as president until they actually get elected. Bad form
if that's the case, they wanted to have all the facts before making a statement, why did they, the entire admin, go out of their way to blame it on the video? should the same standard that kept them from saying it was a terrorist attack, also apply to the video?
Uh ho! Obama shaves two more points off Gallup's daily tracking today... LIKELY VOTERS CHANGE Romney 50% -1 Obama 47% +1 (7 day average)
