I would give them a pass. D12 played his first game in almost a year. Lakers had enormous amount of TOs, most centered around D12 by forcing into the paint, careless passes by D12 picked off by Cousin and his greasy fingers.

Rockets will not win by playing half court game. Our biggest advantages over the Lakers are exuberant energy and youthful speed. Run, Rockets, run!

I've bet my friend Rockets are going to 4-0 Lakers this year.

I know I'm stupid but after watching today I'm at least encouraged.

looking at the box score the lakers starters played fine except for the turnovers. the bench contributed diddly squat.

I think the kings are a serious dark horse this year to make the playoffs, as long as they can keep it together. I mean they have some serious scorers, both starting and off the bench, on that team to go a long with one of the best post threat in the league in DeMarcus Cousins.

    Didn't watch the game

Seems like Aaron Brooks torched the Lakers like he always seems to do.

I would say that we match well against Lakers, Knicks, and other older teams. But against young teams such as Thunder, Nuggets, we will not do well. If we run on them, they will run back at us. Those teams thrive on running.

I like what McHale is doing so far.

    1. He realized the strengths of a young team and focused on running and now works on transistional defense.
    2. We don't have post players like Scola and really fruitless to emphasize on it; DMo, Asik, Ppat, and Jones post plays will take time and experience to develop. McHale is one of the best post players ever. Don't complaint about no post plays. He knows what he sees and what he is doing!
    3. Utilizes on the quickness to develop our defensive strategy: switch and help defense.

    His biggest challenges:
    - Figuring out a rotation
    - Who will be in the rotation.
    - Starters play time

From all our previous preseason game, our starters were never out of any game; if they were down, they were only down by a single digit. This to me is a clear indication Rockets will surprise some people. Starters are solid, now let see what McHale can do to strengthen our bench!

    Good observation and analysis.
McHale has difficult job ahead of him.
One night his rookies are looking great. Next night show their ages.
He is heading the right direction.

I hope the Lakers fail, I'd rather see the best compete against the best rather than the best playing with the best on the same team... 0-6 so far, I'm a happy camper...

A few PGs have stuck out stats wise. Etwan Moore (soph) doing really well in Orlando, Maalik Wayns (rook) in Philly and Brian Roberts (rook) in NOH doing pretty good too.

Perry Jones III has good hands. Not used to seeing that on OKC.
