ah was reading an article...didn't realize it said 2011 not 2012. my bad. regardless, I don't think it's going to be a riding off into the sunset moment. For me, Dexter's life is going to have to come full circle. Born in blood, die in blood.
Agreed. I have to believe Dexter will die and that will close the series. I don't see any way they can truly have an "ending moment" with Dexter other than his death. Like...this show has been set on each season having a new "Big Bad". What will happen after season 8? Will these "Big Bad's" just stop showing up in Miami? Will Dexter stop killing? Nah....not gonna happen. Could Dexter sacrifice his life for Deb, because he finds out that his love for her trumps his love for continuing killing others? That's an ending I could get behind. Either way....I see Dexter dying. But this show has very clever writers. They'll think of something good, especially since they know they have a set-in-stone ending already. It'll be satisfying I'm sure. Can't be any worse than LOST's ending....
What are everyone's thoughts on LaGuardia and her finding of the blood slide sample from episode 1? This has resulted in the bay harbor butcher case being brought back slowly in each episode and I wonder what impact this story could have.
I think it's an inevitable situation that Dexter will be discovered by Miami Metro. But I agree with the post above....that seems like something that will occur in Season 8.
It has been a while since that season but if I remember correctly, didn't Doakes vent his suspicions about Dexter to LaGuerta? I think she might have defended Dexter at the same time as well......If I'm not wrong then she will probably remember that somehow and get onto Dex?
Those are my thoughts as well. Dexter will be fighting the coworkers as well as his inner demons come season finale. This is getting all too juicy.
So why is no one talking about how unbelievably idiotic it was for that guy to so easily be convinced to give up his life? I'm usually one to defend this series, but i have been watching BB at the same time and boy does that show make Dex look dumb.
You compare anything to BB and it won't stand up. And why is it idiotic for that guy to kill himself? He was placed in an unbelievably tough situation. He is dying regardless. And if he doesn't go through with it the mafia kills his family back home. What would you have done so differently?
Understood, they just made it look like a 2 year old kid could convince to him to do anything. At-least try to put up a fight, run for the phone or heck id take out the boss sitting with me at the table if that was how it was going to end.
He had one bullet in the gun....3 goons. Anything he did other than to cap himself would have resulted in the death of his family. It's a no win situation...unless he didn't give a crap about his family.
I don't see it as a matter of trusting to protect if he did as they wanted, but more of a promise to terminate if he didn't.
You have a point and what he did was the right choice you could say. Just wish they would have stretched it a bit, it feels like a plot hole to me but just my 2¢.
I'm one of the few who finds Breaking Bad to be grossly overrated. Good show, but not the television heaven that people make it out to be...¯\(ツ)/¯
Well...I think I should preface my statement and say that I started watching Breaking Bad late, so I'm on Season 3 Episode 8, but it still hasn't engrossed me in the way that everybody said it would. Just don't find it to be all that exciting yet, except for a marginal amount of moments. I'm definitely going to keep watching because, as I said, it's a good show. Just not my absolute favorite. I'll take your word for it that Season 4 ends pretty good, so I'll wait and see how I feel once I get to that point.
