Kyle doesn't look chubby at all to me now. Felton remains a ******.

Lowry is a championship-caliber PG (defense, grit, pass-first, bball IQ, etc...) who doesn't cost anything close to max. What's the point of a moneyball GM if he can't keep a player like that who is entering his prime. I understand that you reduce your chances of getting top draft picks with players like Lowry but if everything we are doing is aimed at drafting/acquiring a superstar, bring in a more experienced GM who has real basketball acumen and just do a standard tank job. Keep the calculator-toting, basketball-know-nothings in a remote computer lab and use them as an occasional resource here and there. Morey and Lin are marketing machines to attract the nerds with pocketbooks and the Chinese fanbase, nothing more. They don't lead to championships. Moneyball is largely a waste of time in a cap world (even a soft cap); certainly when it replaces real basketball experience/wisdom.

Problem is Lowry would be entering his prime and is due for an extention ($10 mil per my guess) next summer on a rebuilding team if he stayed with the Rockets. It would be pointless to keep him here unless we were contending.

That's rich since you're talking about the man who discover Lowry riding the bench in Memphis. Basketball Acumen? What does Asik look like this preseason? Morey knows how to avaluate players.

You are just mad but saying Lin is not a good basketball player is just hate. Yes he'll bring money but all and all is it your money? What difference does it make rebuilding with Lowry as apposed to Lin? NOTHING. Too bad we can't just trade cities with LA or Miami or NY because it seems players want to go there and it's not because of "real basketball experience/wisdom"

your "championship" point guard did not want to stay on the rockets, and pretty much demanded a trade. some logic you have there.:rolleyes:

What's the point in keeping a solid player in Lowry when you can have a cash cow that'll bring in revenue:confused::rolleyes:

Right, as if the cash will flow if Lin stinks it up. Do you see anyone clamoring to sign Yi Jianlian?
