Anemic growth and more people then ever on welfare and higher debt then promised.

The problem is it is two weeks until the election and Obama is just releasing his economic plan. It is being printed and shipped out today.

The economic plan has happened. In case you didn't notice, the Obama Administration saved America from the largest excess of private markets the world has ever seen.

Even industries that would have sunk with banking were saved. Credit markets COLLAPSED in 2007-2008. Do you realize the implications of this?

I love right-leaning posters who complain about how the recovery hasn't gone fast enough, considering it was the lack of policy options from the right that precipitated this crisis in the first place. Very few on EITHER side of the aisle are looking into what they should be focusing on; the original problem of private markets gone amok.

Romney took money from British bankers who had manipulated global interest rates for their own gain the DAY AFTER they were caught. Sure, the Dems have not done a good job solving WHY the deficit is so high in the first place (banking's implosion). But you trust this kind of person to do so? Hah.

And that is why we vote. We have different views on what is happening

Is your view based on empirical research? Or blind ideological feeling? The Romney campaign has run haywire on the latter, without letting the American people know exactly what the hell he will do to solve anything.

If your view of the world is that the government blew up banks in 2008 due to over-regulation, and then made the recovery worse by increasing spending/investment, allow me to disabuse you of the notion.

The Romney campaign has put its' head in the sand. But here's an interesting fact; some of his advisers haven't.

Look up Mankiw, raise the gas tax, Romney economic adviser. Be pleasantly surprised!

You should work for the Obama campaign. I haven't heard any of these things from Obama. That probably means that most of America hasn't either, seeing as how I watch more news then the average person.

I'm sure you are a well educated well informed voter, just don't fault Romney when he wins because the Obama campaign spent more time talking about Big Bird, Binders, and Bayonets.

Are you that sad that the last Republican people actually liked was Reagan? Get over it man. Obama is popular, if you want to attack him I can find a million other better reasons to attack him. It's people like you that are devolving political discourse in this country.

Romney wins 6 of 8 votes in the post-debate CBS focus group of Ohio voters (YouTube). The CBS anchors appear to be quite surprised.

Romney Wins CBS Focus Group In Ohio

The question was whether the voters had made up their minds who they were going to vote for, not who "won" the debate.

    Quite the sample size.

I typically use Five Thirty Eight to get a good feel of how it's going. Everyone tends to use the poll that makes them the happiest, though... but at least this one is an aggregate of them with some analytics tossed onto it.

Insert argument "NYT is liberal YARHARHAR" here.

No way the Gallup poll is right. I'm trying to be impartial; there's just no way it's right. No way Romney wins 53-47 in this thing.

He might win, given that so many people blame Obama for the economy and not the financial meltdown of 2008, and for some reason it is believed that a guy who wrecked companies to get rich and become a major tax cheat is somehow gonna help the average worker rather than his fellow 1%....

"Governor, you're a multimillionaire and pay just 14% income tax, is that fair?"

"Yes it is, because it spurs job growth."

If this guy gets elected, the average American is even more shortsighted than I imagined; and Romney owes Diebold's AccuVote a really big check.

Yeah, bro. That's a whole 0.00007% of Ohio representin'. Surely is indicative of the final result. No need to have an election at this point.

*** he said yes because it has already been taxed the first time. It was the fed that caused the meltdown by withdrawing cash from the banking system. Resulting in leiman getting squeezed. This was directly done to get obama in office, play bush and target mccain as more of the same. Romney gives more than 20% of his savings to harity every year plus paying the currnt tax rate. By bye obam@ss... ***

Here is the RCP poll average. Today's Gallup is Romney +5, while Rasmussen is Romney +4. These are the two ongoing tracking polls. They are also two of the oldest and most reputable polls.

    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/us/general_election_romney_vs_obama-1171.html

However, I understand if you just want to reject out of hand anything that does not show Obama in the lead.

Of course none of these polls is designed to predict the outcome on election day. But you can get a sense the direction things are moving in.

Ah, focus groups - focus on mannerisms, facial expressions, and other inconsequential elements. Unfortunately, the focus groups mean something because they get to vote and represent how superficial our people are. A'merkuhhhhh, yeah!
