Mitt has used the "route to the sea" phrase before. Back in April.

He was called on it early in the campaign and stopped using the phrase. Last night, he was in panic mode and clung to the familiar even if it was wrong. That is in no way imaginable passing the Commander-in-Chief test.

He is simply triyng to block Emperor Xerxes from deploying his triremes.

Deploying them via the straits of Hormuz/Red Sea makes no sense, as their isnt' enough forage for the crews in the Sinai in the overland portions.

Yeah he did a great job firing up his base and making some fantastic quips but where it matters most, he lost, VOTES.

So according to the poll YOU posted among independents Obama is winning 46-36. 18% are undecided. So suppose he wins 2/3 of those undecided independent voters to vote for him. He still loses among independents.

You would make a great meme for how Obama was last night.

I don't have a plan because the plan I had isn't working so I will try and make funny remarks and boast about how awesome I am how bad I beat my opponent.

I am so glad that most of America is done with this kind of politics.

This post makes no sense. Let's break it down.

The sea that really matters in the Middle East is the one that allows for tankers to carry crude. That would be all of them, but mostly the Persian Gulf. Iran is not going to lead a Muslim wave of pirate ships ravaging the Med and invading Sicily.

There's no "if." US ships are in the Med. It's called the 6th Fleet.

Also, sentence construction is important. Your sentence reads as if the US ships would have their chances of doing damage lessened by Iranian rockets in Syria.

The poll is a D+6 poll so the numbers are more like 40-36 and about in the margin of error.

But then again no one is debating if Obama won last nights debate. The known fact is that more people are going to vote for Romney now then before the debates.

Independents are also known to vote for the challenger in a tight race. This will also be more likely seeing as how they said they are more likely to vote for him.

The pathway to the sea was hilarious last night, but why is no one riffing on "timezone and language opportunities" a la South America. What does this even mean?

Also, one observation from someone who suffered through every minute of all three debates: Romney repeated himself much, much more. And he did in fact look pretty sweaty last night. He did much better than I expected though.

I would do make a fine meme.

There's a saying on the internet, Those who can, meme, those who can't, troll.

    Guess which you are.

Obviously, they are awake when we are awake....lots of chatrouletting.

The most likely way for Iran to come at Israel is through Syria, plain and simple. They have to get Rockets into Syria if the hope to strike Israel. They can't do that just yet because of America's presence in the region. Syria also has the vessels to allow Iranian weapons to move closer on America then any other route because going around Africa would be suicide.

Did he win the last 2 debates well enough to reverse the momentum and the polls and get back on top of this race?

If the answer is no, then Obama lost the debates. I keep saying, you're dealing in minutia. But on election day, the results will speak for themselves. Romney was down coming into the first debate. Is he down leaving the debates or is he up?

Here's a link to the transcripts of the third debate for anyone interested.

Just started reading it again and noticed right away a Romney flipflop. It's not really anything major but its even small gaffes like this that make me question whether he even thinks about what's going to come out of his mouth.

Then the very next question comes up and its his turn again.

It'll be an interesting morning reading the transcripts while at work. The man just can't hold a single stance to save his life though.

I'm headed downtown today, so I'll stop by Toyota Center and ask the newest Rocket Dwight Howard if the electoral college projections still favor President Obama at this point.

I'll follow up with All NBA point guard Ricky Rubio - good to get a Spanish perspective on the foreign policy issue.
