Also, Newton's sideline demeanor and post-game behavior haven't been good. Colin Cowpatch of ESPN (who I normally don't listen to) lit into him hard this morning on the radio, more than once. It was a bit over-the-top IMO. I have to agree with one thing he said: Newton doesn't seem to be much of a leader. At least not yet.
:using paranoid poster logic: calvin johnson has only caught one td?!! dude sucks, obviously has lost a step! This is the first monday nighter that I'm not really excited about. I am curious to who will lose their cool sooner, suh or the cutler man. For the bears it's easy, find coleman and demas and throw it their way. Kinda hoping the bears win.
I want the Lions to go down hard to put pressure on Jim Schwartz. Once he's gone, I'll resume liking all four teams in the NFC Central.
Talking about Newton's struggles, Stafford has been worse. 4TDs so far is pathetic with Calvin Johnson on your team.
Let's not get into that. Stafford has been a scrub, which has nothing to do with Megatron. His backup had more success in a short stint vs the Titans than Stafford basically has had all year.
Calvin was getting doubled plenty last year, and it still looked like a waste of effort. Stafford's not forcing it to him anymore.
I feel like the NFL takes one offseason to adjust to everything. Really hard to repeat being insanely good.
Carolina was 7th in scoring last year averaging 25.4 This year Carolina is tied for 28th averaging 17.7 ppg.
Carolina went from being top 5 rushing to middle of the pack, which shouldn't happen when you've got two RBs under big contracts (something not many GMs do anyways).
They are using them the wrong way or not using them at all. Deangelo Williams not getting any touches. He was on twitter retweeting every fan saying he deserves more carries.
