Nice dunk, but I'm currently watching the raptors-bucks game, and I've seen Valanciunas attempt that double pump fake twice within 2 minutes. I think that little move of his is going to become very predictable.

Why? It's protected at both ends.

he has a good enough shooting touch to make people respect those fakes regardless.

But for now, all these moves are about his long term upside. I don't think can react to help defense and pass well enough to be a reliable low post creator yet.

Atm, he looks like a big Kenneth Faried with a ton of upside.

I think you have forgotten he is a rookie big. He isn't supposed to have any moves down at this point. Hell, all the Raptors want him to do is play defense and rebound the ball. He is a very mobile big that is very active and involved in everything *does a little too much*. He might turn out to be another Varejao, but I doubt it. He's shown to be quite skilled as well. If he can learn to compose his energy in a more effective and efficient manner he's going to be a beast.

Having said all that, he is still quite raw. It will take him at least 2 or 3 years to get stronger and as well as learn the NBA game. Definitely a good pick by Toronto.

Either a) It will take a long time before the Raptors end up in the playoffs, or b) we end up with something like a 14th pick again.

I missed it because I was so distracted by Lowry traveling at the opening of that clip. He gets the ball and does a little hop shuffle, and then slides his foot, all without dribbling once.
