    Thats not true at all. Stat's do mean SOMETHING even pre-season stats. Teams use them for adjustments all the time, especially with many of the later games being starters vs starters.

    I wonder if there is a stat for number of times Lin got caught on a screen while guarding the ball handler.

    And your point is what? Lin's individual Synergy stats for defending the PnR ball handler was ranked #59, which is quite high.
    By comparison, Dragic was #76, Lowry was #126, Conley was #106, Parker was #148, Westbrook was #156.
