But that one mistake was the final nail in a very disappointing and mistake-filled run with the Texans. If he had played as good for the Texans as he has for the Ravens, the team wouldn't have let him go.
It wasn't one mistake. It was more like three years of mistakes. That playoff game mistake was the the straw theat broke the camels back.
This is all news to me. I never really listen to commentators while the Texans are on. I'm too busy eating, drinking, and playing out different scenarios in my head. In down time I check out scores around the league and keep up with my fantasy players. There's no time to listen to the interchangeable stiffs CBS or Fox throws out there each week.
I've seen him give credit to the Texans too. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/wfm8dJF7CpY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Dierdorf is overtly blatant with his bias. For whatever reason, he can't stand the Texans. The worst was the game last year against the Saints.
" Ravens losing to the Texans isn't a big deal.....just like how the Texans themselves were thrashed by the Packers last week" dick
Sure the game's far from over....the Buffalo comeback will forever be etched in my brain. But he made it sound like the Ravens we're knocking on the door when they were still down 19. If they had stopped the Texans next drive and scored themselves, then his commentary would make sense. But instead the Texans ate up a lot of clock, scored in the process and put the game out of reach.
This game, since it was a conference game, was a MUCH bigger deal... if he can't realize that, he has no business being on the # 2 team for CBS.
I was at the game so I didn't hear any of this, but I agree he sounds like a butthole. he must have had some money on the ravens or something
He said something about how the Ravens could score 19 points just like that *snaps*. Tasker, Eagle, and Dierdorf all get their backhanded shots in when they announce our games.
Every other comment in the game thread was commenting about how awful he was. It was pretty hysterical... For real though, if you actually watched and listened to the entire game on TV, you would realize this wasn't just your typical commentator bias. Usually Dierdorf is annoying but rarely have I heard him put on the show that he did yesterday.
Not sure if this is true, but did you watch the game on TV? He was definitely more biased than usual and IMO it didn't "border" on unprofessionalism, it was downright unprofessional.
