are you on the team or something? are you at there practices? just because jeremy lamb is known for his offense doesn't mean you can label him as lazy yet. I'd like to see jeremy lamb play a lot because of defensive effort and if you havn't notice morey doesn't play crap defnders. why do you thing we traded chase budinger

I was under the impression that Delfino was backing up the 3, and Livingston was backing up the 1.

Toney Douglas is backing up the 1. Livingston is backing up the 2 and 1. Delfino is backing up the 3 and 2. Lamb is starting at the 2 in Rgv.

These guys can play multiple positions.

The 4 players coming off the bench are Douglas, Livingston, Delfino, and Jones. With spot minutes going to Dmo. Thats really only 1 rookie in our entire rotation, despite all the hoopla about the amount of rookies we have.

In the end this will be good for all the young players and for their development. You either EARN minutes from some of these vets, or you weren't good enough to begin with.

What you do in practice resemble how you play in the real games. The guy has been coasting on both ends of the court the entire preseason. He needs to put in more effort instead of handing him a bunch of playing time on a silver platter.

Case in point the article today about Jeremy Lamb in the Chronicle saying 'when coach Kevin McHale ordered the rookies to do extra running after Monday’s practice, Lamb did not catch the directive and remained on the sideline' shows his lack of work ethic and sense of entitlement. I really like his potential, but he has a lot to learn and nothing should be handed to him.

Well said Brother, well said. I had high hopes for Lamb, but after his abysmal pre-season I'm a little concerned.

It's way way way too early to be concerned about Lamb at this point. He's a 21 year old rookie who has played in 4 preseason games. Let's see how he is doing after the first of the year. I expect him to get a lot of playing time for the Vipers and then get worked into the Rockets rotation after Martin gets traded.

Well said. I'm high on Lamb myself, but it's just unreasonable to expect rookies to have the kind of impact Parsons had last year, unless it's someone like a top 5 pick that's performing to expectations, IMO. Parsons is an outlier. We'll be lucky if one of the 4 youngsters has his kind of success, at least until the break. Right now, and it's way early, Jones looks to be this year's Parsons. By the break, things could change. As you point out, a mid-season trade might shake up the team a hell of a lot. What's fun is watching it all play out. Perhaps we'll really be lucky and have a couple of the rooks make a positive impact on this young team. We need to remember that we have several second and third year guys learning, hopefully improving, and earning time as well.

Meh, I really did not see a lack of hustle.

People just say that because of how he looks, seriously. He has a very calm demeanor even when he was going through guys in summerleague he looked the exact same except he was hitting his shots...some of the very same shots he was taking in summerleague. I just saw a rookie playing like a rookie.

But not surprised. People said Marcus wasn't working and he needed to earn his minutes yet it looks to me from what we've seen that Marcus HAS been working. Lets not assume that just because he's not playing well that he's not working hard.

I really like all the rookies, they all seem like they are trying and don't have attitude, at least when I look at their body language on the side lines. They each bring different skills that can be developed to help the team. I think Lamb is trying it's just like he's a little lost out there right now and going to the DL will be beneficial for him.

All of the Rookies will get their chances to perform and excel. I wonder which ones will be sent down here to the RGV to improve on their game by getting more live game action.

I am a 100% with you on this one. A lot of jumping to conclusions from pre-season basketball. People just see Lamb & assume he is lazy because of how he looks at least give him the benefit of the doubt before you jump to conclusions. I think people are mistaking lack of effort for just Lamb being confused as to how to defend pro-sets.

So he's confused about coach's directive as well?

But Lamb, 20, never seemed likely to be overlooked by himself. Yet when coach Kevin McHale ordered the rookies to do extra running after Monday’s practice, Lamb did not catch the directive and remained on the sideline.

I have high hopes for him. But so far it does not look good.

:confused:I dunno about Lamb guys, if Linsanity happened on an undrafted player, who knows what could happen to a 12th first round

T-Jones is the only rookie I'd be comfortable playing extended minutes. I could even see him playing starter's minutes should PPat struggle early (which I don't think he will).

Linsanity may be a once-in-a-life-time thing. You don't seriously expect that to happen very often, do you?

Look what happened to the #1 overall pick Kwame Freaking Brown...
