Go with a Nissan Leaf. Price starts at 27K and you can be elegible for up to $7500 in Federal credits. Its fully electric so you never have to buy gas again
Except that you have like 70 mile range before you need to hit up a charging station. And it can take hour to charge. BOOOO not practical
The new accords 4 cylinder engine gets 37 mpg....thats fantastic for a car its size...definitely the best looking accord yet...and ive never been a fan of them till now.
I drive a Subaru Impreza. The engine and fuel economy are great (I average 33 mpg). My one beef is the quality of their cloth seats. Mine are already showing a lot of wear.
Don't get a fully electric car if it's your primary mode of transportation. You'll be trapped inside a 30-40 mile radius. Not to mention when the next Hurricane Rita or Katrina hits Houston and people need to evacuate, you'll be the guy getting great mileage but can't get out of town. lol. Check out the new Honda Accord or new Nissan Altima if you're looking at Camrys.
Get the new Honda Accord. Its EASILY the best family sedan right now. Honda really turned it around with this one. My neighbor bought a touring and it looks like an entry level luxury sedan. Very impressive. Even if you get the base model, lots of standard features.
wtf...I thought you were to definition of a car person. First time (probably in 2001) we met to give you my tickets for a game, you show up in a new Lexus sporting "I'm successful" attire. I was like, wow, I need to ask for a raise or sumpin.
haha, plus with Power out throughout the city, he won't be able to recharge. And, make no mistake, when the Zombi apocalypse begins, no one will want a fully electric car.
As mentioned from my other thread, I am definitely in the need for a new vehicle. I'd like a truck or SUV. I'm not opposed to buying used. Where should I get financing? I'm thinking about starting at my credit union. How does pre-financing work with autos? Is it basically the same as a house where they pre-approve you for so much based on given factors?
Full size SUV or crossover? I have a Cadillac SRX. Seats 7, luxury package with NAV/DVD/RES/Pano sunroof/rear a/c, etc..Gets the job done if you have a small family like I do. The GMC Acadia, Chevy Traverse, Lincoln MKX, or Buick Enclave are all pretty nice too. I get about 17mpg city which isn't too shabby. Financing, either you'd find the car you want and finance it at the dealer or You can choose your own Financial institution and get pre approved for a certain amount. This method is as good as a cash buyer, gives you the leverage to bargain with dealers or private owners on the asking price. Then they would cut you a check for the selling price and you would hand the title over to your lien-holder. Methods all slightly vary depending on who you choose to finance with.
Get that camry mayne. See a lot of potential. Spokes, big silver camry letters at the bottom saying camry, hood ornament of a bad b****, candy paint, big body style, 17 inch screen between the headrest for them haterz to see, popping trunk, tinted letters with your moniker on the back window. Stylin on these hoes.
LM Mutha FAO! don't forget them squiggly swirlin' pinstripes, big fat nike sticker, powered by TOYOTA decal, and Maroon candy paint for dem hatahzzz!
I don't want a full size SUV (ex. Tahoe, Escalade, Expedition, etc.). Mid-size but not compact. Crossover is fine too as long as it is big enough. I found a SRX but then insuring it, maintenance, etc., hell even the monthly payments are probably out of my budget. It is a luxury line any way. If I go truck, I want to get a full size that is at least extended cab but preferably crew.
hey, for us looking into buying a Lexus or Accura, how did your 10-yr old Lexus end up only getting 10 mpg. Did it always? Or did it get worse over time. I expect more from Toyota and Honda than that.
What's better about it then the Camry? Most likely going with a Camry, but maybe I should look at an Accord.
