Officiating may not have cost the game but it did play a huge role .. Really should have been 19-0 after the first half ... oh well,it's water under the bridge now and no sense arguing with biased people over it ... Fact is it's almost impossible to win against a good team when you turn the ball over 4 times.

A&M dominated the 1st half so that means they dominated the entire game and LSU "stole" the game from them. Or the refs, or whatever. Moral victory I suppose. $$$ victory for me. -3 was a gimmie

Clearly LSU did not dominate and that was your assertion. It was a close game going 5 minutes into the 4th quarter and aggies were driving. It was not a blowout and it was a close game and Aggies had a very good chance to win.

Exactly. If SacTown wasn't worried about his bet, then he's just not very bright. A&M had the ball with 4 and a half minutes left, down 5 points, with the ball close to midfield. I don't understand how we can all watch the same game being played, but interpret what's going on in such different ways.

... and you can't call a TD that puts you within one score of winning "garbage"

A&M had 2 missed field goals, a missed extra point, and 4 turnovers - and lost by 5. They ran more plays, had more yards, averaged more yards per play. They had an INT in FG range that hit their WR in the hands and bounced straight up in the air. Twice in the 4th quarter, they had the ball inside the LSU 35 with opportunities to take the lead.

I think it's pretty difficult to argue that they didn't have a chance.

Went up for the game yesterday

Best part of the whole day was when LSU fans started chanting SEC-SEC after the game was over.

just showed A&M no respect and made it clear they weren't ready to beat the big boys anytime soon

    poor aggies

Most teams in he SEC shout that after most of the games they win. Bama did the same last title game when they beat LSU, another SEC team.

I actually never thought TAMU was ready to hang with the big boys but the games against LSU and Florida have learned me good.

Yeah because losing by a single score shows that we just cannot compete.

I think the A&M football program is on the way up while the UT program is on the way down. As a UH grad, I love Sumlin and think he's going to have a national championship team there within 5-6 years. Aggies aren't ready right now but in 2-3 short years they will be at the top of the SEC while UT is struggling with Baylor year in and year out. Huge fail by UT to let Muschamp walk.

TAMU barely moves in the polls. Still ranked. TAMU could win the Big 12 right now.

A&M's success in the SEC will be determined by Kevin Sumlin's ability to recruit good defensive players and coaches. He was atrocious in that regard at UH. The Wrecking Crew needs to return. Otherwise, they will have nothing to fall back on after defenses adjust to their blue smoke and mirrors offense.

Agreed, we need size up front and athleticism in the secondary but Sumlin seems to be doing a fine job so far. Also, TAMU's defense isn't that bad as is.

What's really important is how well Sumlin recruits defensive players from now on, not what he inherits. Based on his track record, wouldn't surprise me if this is the best defense A&M has during his tenure and it goes downhill from here. This is the main reason I didn't think Sumlin was a good choice to lead A&M into the SEC.

Recruiting at UH and C-USA is different than A&M and the SEC, though. I suspect there's not nearly as much interest for defensive players to go into C-USA as the SEC. Offensive players are easier because you can put up big stats and get a lot of attention that way - but a great cornerback or D-Lineman in C-USA will never get talked about.

Agreed again but I addressed this in my initial post when I said Sumlin is doing a good job so far recruiting. I know Rivals and ESPN aren't always reliable but honestly what else do we really have to go off of? I'm not gonna lie, I don't watch HS games...

Anyways, Sumlin already has 3 big, highly touted d-lineman coming in and 2 highly touted corners...

Like Major said, this isn't UH in CUSA.
