Many of the definitions of cheat apply to the OP.

To defraud
To act dishonestly
To deceive
To violate rules

 

You already started with that playing field of you doing all of the work and the guy who doesn't ripping it off from you.

So you already had a **** deal going. Maybe the uni rubbed in the fact that you were just a patsy, but that isn't 'irony'.

The system isn't God. It's not going to catch/punish everyone who breaks the rules all the time.

That's life.

How you deal with that fact carries over to how you'll treat yourself as an adult...or in many cases, as an older man-child.

 

As you admitted, you just got lazy. If you're gonna share work, at least make the appropriate efforts to "customize" it.

I hated Physics so one year I just bought the teacher's edition on ebay for $10 (homework was 30% of the grade). I did, however, deliberately miscalculate parts of questions so as to limit the chances of setting off any alarms. One of the best purchases I ever made; never had much personal use for sciences.

Keep in mind that being resourceful is a valued trait in many businesses.
