It's a dirty sport. I doubt one cyclist at that level is 100% clean, and Lance was targeted because he's American. Of that, I have no doubt. This doesn't mean Lance shouldn't be held accountable, but other pro cyclist have no right to look down on him. They aren't any better than he is. In other words, taking down Lance doesn't make the sport look better, it just makes it look more petty, vindictive, and backbiting.
Eh you trully believe that? It can't be he was targeted because he won 7 straight TDF? Some people really see conspiracies everywere. Of course this doesn't make the game look better. The Rabobank, the sponsor of one of the dutch teams has announced that they will stop sponsering cycling. But this doesn't make it look petty. Armstrong has been cheating for years and won a lot as a result of that. ofcourse people should want to take him down. I cannot believe some people actually make excuses for the guy. If you are the best cheater among cheaters you are still a cheater and should punished accordinly. Armsting made a lot of dollars cheating with a sport, he should be in jail as a result of that.
He did not win cause he cheated. He won because he was that good. Everyone else cheated too why couldn't they beat him?Plus all the other dudes actually failed a drug test. He won and was never caught. You have to give him credit for that.
He won because he cheated. Period. Not only that, he also intimidated others into cheating as well, and intimidated and threatened people when they tried to come clean. He is a criminal and lifelong cheater. Nothing else. He cheated before he had cancer already. Then he used his unfortunate cancer fate as a shield against any allegation and was instrumental in building the most ruthless doping and cheating system ever in the history of sports.
We do not know if he was that good and the doping helped him or that he was that good as a result of very good doping. There are many different ways to dope. I do not have to give him credit for not getting caught. He cheated and made a lot of money as a result of that. That is just pathetic. I do not have any respect for someone who is very good at cheating.
The UCI was complicit in this for the longest time. Only now that they have no other chance, they do this. Hopefully it is the start of a new era.
Did anyone report on how he was able to avoid positive tests while everyone else in the same cheating ring got caught? Seriously, I'm trying to figure out how he passed all the blood tests for so long. The only advantage he would have would be abnormalities due to his cancer and/or cancer treatments.

So, you leave out the most obvious poll answer? "I suspected he was cheating/beating the system but had no way of knowing for sure because nothing had been proven."
If only he admitted it early on, he would have still have a lot of good will because of the charity work. I like to think a primary motivation for him was continuing to win so that he can rake in money for his charities, but it was probably just an ego thing.
Christian Prudhomme, the race director of the Tour, has said the organization would not give the victories to the runners-up at the races Armstrong had won because so many of those riders have been linked to doping as well. He said those Tours simply would have no official winner. He won those titles. If everyone was cheating it seems like fair playing field.
You could say that, but if it was true that even one person did not cheat out of all the competitors than Lance did not win it. So you must prove that every single rider cheated, and that would be impossible, or is simply not true.
