Asik leading in rebounds per game with 11

Machado is leading all players in NBA preseason in assists per teammate FGM & assists per touch

Delfino leading the NBA in percentage of good shots taken at 83%

Lin is leading the NBA in steals per opportunity (= Basically steals per minute adjusted for pace RT)

The Team: #1 in generating good transition offense opportunities and #1 in 1/2 court paint defense

Guess we should be happy about how we are doing :)

Very promising start. Looks like Asik and Lin are legit.

All these stats mean absolutely nothing because it is pre-season.

I wonder how they calculate transition opportunities. Blocks that the team retains and steals? Maybe missed shots as well?

Hmmm, a rookie leading all NBA in anything, anytime is impressive.

Clyde Drexler leads the league in most facepalms (pace adjusted for 48 minutes).

For a young team in the pre-season one needs to find out what they are good at doing, and also what they are bad at doing. Careful game analysis and statistical approaches can be very useful for tailoring to a teams strengths and identifying some underlying weaknesses/deficiencies.

Sure, stats are sometimes way over-hyped, but I don't think it's a fair statement to say that Bill Russell is unanimous greatest of all time.

lol, I am sure every player has a unique stat ranking #1 in the whole league even in regular season rather than meaningless preseason. In the very end, it is the team win/loss that matters

Stats mean nothing until the NBA Finals.

Nice stats but the important one is to be rank top 4 in Defense. The D will be the key, I don't want this team to be like the Old Warriors teams of the
    90's.

At the end of the day the only stats that matters is the number of W's and I suspect that we will not be very good in that column.
