Always been a Ford guy for trucks, especially the power stroke engines but my brother's last couple of trucks have been to Tundras and he's liked them a lot. Not the best looking, imo, but they do ride nice and the big engine model (TRD i think) has pretty good performance.
The Tundra and Titan just don't do it for me. I bet they ride great, but I could never see myself in a Titan. And I'd have to try really hard to let the Tundra grow on me. I'm a Ford man.
Ford and their F series trucks. There is a reason why most oil field and heavy use fleets are Fords. Next would be Chevy and last Nissan in my book. Toyota being new into the Full size truck market casued a few growing pains for buyers. Open box Frame, weak tailgates, Timing belt instead of chains (4.7L) They may ride well but can they hold up to real truck use? I'll stick to the experts at Ford
I get to drive (and sometimes destroy) Fords, Chevys, and Dodges at work, Ford wins. After all, they're built Texas Tough.
I have had 4 fords and 2 tundras. The 08 tundra was the best despite its tailgate construction. If I had to buy one today I would look at both with a slight lean for Tundra.
From what I've driven. Ford. Titans are nice. I've owned two Fords. My first was a 4.2L v6 that was totaled when i got sandwiched between a Chevy and a Dodge. I now drive a 5.4L V8. Love it.
I don't have a truck but if I wanted one, I would buy a Toyota Tundra. The Tacoma was attractive for a while, but it wouldn't have let me carry anything, since I couldn't put too much junk in that trunk. Remember that Police chase that had some dude driving through Houston traffic and then the rural areas (Katy, I think), and then some fields... and he was in a Chevy truck and that thing stayed built tough and never broke down on him? That was a great commercial, but I don't remember for what company.
Remember this commercial. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1XCKSXvhbQU&feature=youtube_gdata_player I can't find the embed code.
