Perhaps, but the secret to re-election is the economy. You get good economic news 4 day before the election, it is a big boost. You get bad news, and its a big negative.

Kind of wonky to adjust unemployment numbers by the season.

Expectations should be adjusted for the season, but the %? Seems odd.

Yes, it is a general outline.

The same people on this board crying for him to release a detailed plan are the same people who, even if everything checked out and they agreed with it, would find one issue somewhere and rip it apart.

Its a smart move to leave the details out of it.

Yes, a candidate should never have to tell voters how they will accomplish what they say they will. How dare voters want to be informed.

Yup, my would-have-been brother-in-law is a smart guy. Early 30's, two degrees, VP of a school district.

The man doesnt know how to use a hammer, how to load a gun, how to fix a flat. He's out of shape, overweight, would never break a sweat.

    He's smart though.

If I become president, everyone will have a job and much higher wages, also tax cuts for everyone. I won't release any details on how I will accomplish that.

    So...think I have your vote.

Says the guy who would, as I said, find one piece they disagree with and rip it apart.

It could be the most perfect plan in the world and it wouldn't matter. If he feels like he will lose the election if he doesn't release specifics, Im sure he probably would resort to it. Why give the left leaning media more ammo when you dont have to?

Its worked for him so far. Maybe replicate his practice and see how you do?

The media is far from left leaning. If he believed in his plan's specifics he should release them. There's nothing wrong with people disagreeing with them.

Do you honestly think he would gain any votes for doing so? If the world had a chance to analyze his plan (if he has come up with specifics yet), would it make a difference. Honestly?

Yes, I think he would. It wouldn't be from the anybody but Obama crowd, or the Obama is the best crowd. But plenty of people in between would take Romney more seriously if they saw that he actually had proposals and specifics to accomplish what he's promising.

    Easy.

You just put the car back on your car elevator and order up a new one.

Please. Romney doesn't even have to do that. Not that I fault him for being rich.

I know how to change a flat tire. 1-800-AAA-HELP.

Funny site. Click on how they calculate the tax hike on Obamacare. The large majority of the "taxes" won't apply to most people. To take these numbers and average them over every household when they won't apply to every household makes these calculations worthless.

Which is pretty much why he shouldn't be quoted. And pretty much why I do visit his threads. Etc.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I disagree. I cant think of any scenario that has Romney telling us the specifics of his recovery plan and gaining Democratic votes.

At this point, IMO, its in his best interest to keep it simple. All he really needs to do is continue to tell people his plan is awesome and people will start to believe it.
