an upgrade from last year's Wes Johnson to Kirilenko is so ridiculously big that these two teams are incomparable, tbh.

 

? I wasn't talking about last year. The Wolves were a borderline .500 team going into this season IMO.

Losing Kevin Love is a huge loss.

Adelman will get his team to play hard and be mostly competetive, but I just don't think there's any chance they'll be .500 when Loves comes back.

I don't know why everyone here is so high on the Timberwolves this season. Rubio had an ACL tear and will be out half the season. It may take even longer than that to get into NBA shape. New additions Roy and Kirilenko are big question marks. Now Love will miss games with a broken hand. I don't see them taking that 8th spot over Utah like a lot of people predict in the other thread. I think even the Warriors and Blazers will still be better than the Wolves this season.

That is so unfortunate for the Twolves. I hope he will have a speedy recovery. When they said the Twolves suffered a major injury, I really thought Roy hurt himself again.

Anyways,

Yesterday I drafted him onto my fantasy team. He fell 7th! And I scooped him up. Then today it was announced he was injured.

 

damn it. love is one of my favorite players.

It's not entirely out of possibility that the Rockets can make the playoffs. Minny, GS and NOLA all have serious health issues on their main players while our issue is just rookies and inexperience. Better to have decent players on the court than good players on the sideline!

 

Did GS and NOLA guys get injured already? or are you basing it on last year?

 

Looks like the Adelman nut huggers will have a ready made excuse why the Wolves don't make the playoffs....again.

 

Seriously, the Wolves are not a .500 team without Love. They're probably 8th seed/14th pick team with him and Rubio though. And I doubt that core even reaches T-Mac/Yao Rockets level of success the next few years.
