This sucks! Does anyone else think 4-6 weeks is very optimistic for a broken shooting hand.

But maybe this gives Scola a shot at the All-Star game.

Yeah, and it sounds like the Minnesota doctors' original estimate of return understates the extent of the injury....just like Rockets' doctors.

That sucks for Minny and Rick the Ruler, but I think they have enough talent to go .500 until Love gets back before the new year.

Love/Rubio out for basically the first 1/2 of the season then (since even if injury-free after 6-8 weeks, it makes a while to get shooting touch back w/ an injury like that). My pick for 8th seed is done... good thing I didn't pick them as one of my LP teams.

Well I guess I won't be drafting him first in fantasy this year again.

    Rotation of-

    PG: Barea, Ridinour
    SG: Roy, Shved
    SF: Budinger
    PF: Williams, Kirilenko
    C: Pekovic, Stiemsma

Look at their first two months of the season and there are exactly 13 out of 26 games that they should not be favored to win in.

If Roy is able to give them 25+ in the first few weeks they should be floating right around .500. Adelman is a good enough coach to sneak out wins early in the season with this group. As time goes on though teams around the league start building chemistry, and the well coached teams start to drop off without top level talent.

Love & Rubio missing the first few weeks shouldn't spell doomsday for the T-Wolves by any stretch. They will be ok.

ouch. Well, at least they'll be able to give a chance for Derrick Williams at his natural spot. I feel like I'll still watch them a lot.

A dude that can't board unless the ball falls directly into his hands and also plays minimal defense will not make the all-star team.

on 2nd thought, this could be a blessing in disguise for them, as long as the break has no long term impact on his shooting.
agree with dobro that they could still be ~.500.
In the meantime, they'll be able to give Williams a chance. Regardless if they'll trade him later or keep him, these minute could be great. Williams has shown a lot of talent last year. I just wish they had a true point guard to set him up while Rubio was injured.

And in the case, you meant minutes, not points, which I suppose you did, I still don't think there's any chance the T-Wolves will .500.

They were a borderline .500 team with Kevin Love. Without him, they're up there with the West bottom-feeders, Adelman coaching them or not.
